1995 Yamaha FZR600

This is a great bike and unbelievably popular from street riding to drag racing to road racing, it's all being done. Check out the FZR600 Archives , in there you can join the fizzer-squad list and learn all there is to know about the bad ass sport bike Yamaha calls the FZR. (RIP, Yamaha discontinued the FZR for 2000, the legacy lives on though through us !!!)

Custom mods to my bike.

I didn't go overboard with this bike, it was my first sportbike. Up front its got a smoked wind screen, Pro-Grip Gels, throttle lock and is wired for a radar detector.

Right now it has about 5000 miles on it (I still ride it, I'm not crazy). It runs good and strong, I've always got 180 - 190 miles to a tank before ever having to go to the reserve.

The slip on exhaust is a Vance & Hines SS2R which sounds great. I painted the solo seat cowl to match the bike. By the way, unfortunately these photos don't do justice to the colors which are black, garnet and red.

The fender job is something I did myself. The reflectors were removed and fender trimmed about 2 inches. I removed the OE stalks from each turn signal and remounted them for a trim look that still allows the signals to be seen as the front ones. Those little flush mount ones just don't cut it with me, which is my opinion, no slams. I do like for the people around me to know what I am doing.

I think that covers everything for now. I guess future customizing is on the way since no one was interested in buying it. Further customs will be featured here because they will all be done on a budget basis.

Swingarm stand was hand made by me, woo hoo, helps working in a metal shop for a living.

Additional mods have been made since these photos but I no longer have the bike, I will update this page with the last pictures I took just in case of that small chance an FZR enthusiast in interested in talking about anything I've done. Thanks for checking the site out.
