My mommy’s busy cleaning,
she mops each smudge and spill.
She’s wiping off those handprints,
like mommies always will.
She wipes off my big brother’s,
and baby sister’s too.
But she leaves mine out in plain sight,
for all the world to view.
My mommy loves us each the same,
she treasures us all so,
but I could only leave this set,
before I had to go.
So as you look around your house,
if handprints you do see;
please wait before you wipe them off,
and think of little me.
Count a blessing for each handprint,
you find upon your wall;
and remember there are those of us,
who now leave no prints at all.
