Here is yet another awesome experience! Its long but you gotta read what our baby Jeff said to her! hehe.. :)
Hi! On Thursday, April 8th I went to my first 98 Degrees concert! It was
great man!! I had 11th row seats at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles and
this place is like really small, so my seats weren't too bad. I went with my
little brother, Matt and my friend/penpal Marie who I was meeting there for
the first time! She turned out to be really nice :) Well, we got to the
theatre around 6:30pm(the concert started at 7:30) and the security guards
had us wait outside in the rain for about 40 minutes(it was cold!!) Once we
got inside, we waited around until Wild Orchid came out. They performed 3
songs, and were pretty good. Then, B*Witched came out after about 10
minutes....they did 5 songs, and they were like awesome! I bought their cd
yesterday :) Ok, and after like half an hour, Jessica Simpson came out. I
think she performed 2 or 3 songs. We had to wait around for about 30-40
minutes after that so they could get the stage set up for 98 Degrees. While
we were waiting around, me and Marie met these 2 girls who happened to have
front row seats. They said we could sneak up to the front with them, so we
did(and we actually got away with it) but Marie got scared cuz she thought
we'd get caught. Plus, she didn't wanna leave my little bro alone in the 11th
row. So, we went back to our original seats(although I really wanted to stay
in the front!) Then as the lights dimmed, 98 Degrees took the stage in these
white scary lookin costumes, and everybody...I do mean
EVERYBODY was screaming their heads off! The first song they sang was
"Heat
It Up". Then, I think "Fly With Me" was after that. My little
brother started
throwin paper airplanes in the crowd when they sang this :) And they also did
some covers, like they sang some of "Pretty Fly For A White
Guy"(that was too
awesome!!),and umm...they were rappin to "My Name Is" except
instead of sayin
"My name is Slim Shady", they were sayin, "Our name is 98
Degrees!" Some
other songs they sang were "Invisible Man", "If She Only
Knew", You Are
Everything", I Do(Cherish You)", and "The Hardest Thing".
Oh yeah, and they
also sang "Heaven's Missing An Angel". These arent in any
particular order
though. In the middle of the show, they all introduced eachother and talked a
little bit. I really remember when they sang "Do You Wanna Dance"
cuz Drew
had the lighting dude put a spotlight on this one girl and he asked her,
"Do
you wanna dance with me?" Me and Marie almost died there! Their last
song was
either "True To Your Heart" or "Because Of You"...I can't
remember! At the
end, they took their bows, and that was that! The show was great, and I was
takin lotsa pics the whole time :) I had
wanted to give Nick this USC Trojans hat that I had gotten him(I heard he's a
big fan) and I also wanted to give Jeff a teddy bear. But, they wouldn't let
us near the stage afterwards. After the show I bought a tour program cuz I
heard that 98 Degrees would be at an autograph signing at Sam Goody the next
day from 3-5pm, and I wanted them to sign the program :) So, the next day, me
and my little bro got to the Sam Goody store at Citywalk at 9:30am(we were
about 70th in line). At 11am wristbands were passed out to the people in
line(but they ran outta wristbands and some people weren't gonna get to go up
and get their autographs). Well, we waited in line for 6 hours!!! And trust
me, standing for 6 hours sure can hurt your feet. But, at 3:30pm, they
finally let us in the store :) And at about 3:40, I was up the stairs with my
bro just moments away from meetin the group!! I had my program out for them
to sign, and Matt(my little bro) had my cd cover. Once I got to the table, I
gave the program to this person who put it on the table for them to sign.
First, I shook hands with Drew and he said "Hi, thanks for coming".
Then, I
moved on to Nick and handed him the USC Trojans hat. He was like,
"Aww...thanks, you got the Trojans hat and everything." Then we
shook hands
and he also said, "Thanks for comin". When I moved onto Justin, I
shook his
hand too and he said hi" and "thanks" like the rest of them
did. Finally, at
the end of the table, there was Jeff(my favorite one!!!!). After shakin his
hand, I handed him the teddy bear, and with a big smile, he said "Thank
you
darlin". That's when I felt my knees go weak, and I just melted! I
waited a
couple of secs for Matt to finish gettin the cd cover signed, and then we
walked down the stairs to the exit. I was still VERY excited about meetin
them, and I was just all smiles for the next couple of hours :) That Thursday
and Friday were 2 of the coolest and most exciting days I've had in a long
time!! 98 Degrees rules man!!
