Feeding Frenzy

The main ingredient in us hamster's diet should be commercially prepared food. That way we will get enough of our nutrients. I especially like the maize and barley that they put in. Squeeky's favorite is sunflower seeds, which also come in commercial food. But there are other things that I need in my diet, too. For extra safety to make sure I get all the nutrients I could ever have, you could get me water drops(one good brand is Sun Drops). You need to suply me with an untreated branch to gnaw on. As you may or may not know, hamster's teeth are always growing. If we don't have anything to wear our teeth down on, they will grow into our jaw and through our brain. It's a sick fact, but it's true. Plus, you can feed me things like grass, dandelion, plantain, sheperd's purse, clover, celery, alfalfa, broccoli, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, grapes, apple, melon, strawberries, banana, turnip, peas, and rutabagas. But don't feed us things like oranges, limes ar grapefruits because the acids in them can become fatal to a hamster. And especially don't feed us onions because this makes us literally go mad. And remember to take out all the old and disgusting food from our cage.
