- Misano results - " A tense three man fight for the win in the 23 lap Supersport race finally went the way of Jörg Teuchert (Wilbers Suspension Yamaha), after a dramatic last lap overtake on Kawasaki rider Iain Macpherson. Paolo Casoli (Yamaha Belgarda) finished a strong third, to maintain his status as World Championship leader.
James Whitham (Yamaha Belgarda) was a fighting seventh, after a struggle through the midfield in the early laps ended any chance of contact with the leaders. Christian Kellner (Yamaha Belgarda) was inadvertently knocked off his machine on lap 14, after colliding with another rider.
