BAND INFO: Gearwhore is a one-man techno band that operates out of California. The first thing I wanted to know was: "what's with the name 'Gearwhore'?" Well, Brian Natonski (Gearwhore) had a bad habit of always buying musical equipment instead of other leisures like CDs and gas. This got him the nickname "gearwhore". Natonski produces all of his own music and his studio is his own bedroom. Natonski is also credited with producing both "Bassland's" debut album and "Skylab 2000's" Auburn CD. Natonski also ran his own label called "Fatal Data".
Drive - OVERVIEW: Beautiful techno with dance influences. This CD is actually meant more for background trance/techno rather than indepth listening. With no lyrics and no samples, this CD is just harsh dance-trance that gets kind of repetative. I would even go as far as to say it's a hard-beat kind of trance.
