Lunatic Calm
LUNATIC CALM
BAND INFO: Lunatic Calm is an up-and-coming
British band. Consisting of two men, Saunders and
Shackleton (also known as "sHack"), Lunatic Calm is a
very elusive band seeing as how I searched all the web
and I couldn't find any information on the band.
Lunatic Calm has been slowly working its way up in the
electronic music world by remixing for big bands such
as such Bush and Pitchshifter. They have also made
themselves known by appearing on big soundtracks such
as the electronica-friendly soundtrack "Mortal Kombat:
Annihilation" and on the 1999 hit soundtrack for the
movie "The Matrix". Despite the lack of information
on the band, one thing I can conjecture is that
Lunatic Calm seems to have a close relationship with
Fatboy Slim. He remixes for them and even says
that their debut album is "not for the faint-hearted".
Lunatic Calm is a major player in the British electronic
music scene and is slowly surfacing in America.
Metropol
Metropol - OVERVIEW: Variety;
either that or Lunatic Calm can't figure out what type
of music they are making. The music skips between hard
techno, jungle, drum and bass, trance, and even into
industrial a little. That is why it was so hard for me
to decide wheather to put this in the "techno" section
or the "industrial" section. And don't think that this
is a bad thing; although the music does go in and out
of classifications, it is always good. There's a lot
of scratching going on in a few of the tracks and
sometimes they get kind of bass-happy, but it doesn't
dominate the CD. This CD contains the hit single
"Leave You Far Behind", which is heard on the "Mortal
Kombat: Annihiliation" CD, and the single "Roll The
Dice".
