Jim Boyd is a singer,composer  and flute player with a wide folk, rock and blues repertory.  He's a member of the Colville Nation from Washington State. He was nominated in 2002 for the Album of the year at the 5th Native American Music Awards . Jim Boyd wrote several songs for the movie Smoke Signals in collaboration with Sherman Alexie (see his Album Reservation Blues) and he appears briefly in Alexie Sherman's new movie The business of fancydancing. Jim has been in Switzerland before and we were all very happy to see and hear him again.

Jim Boyd est un chanteur compositeur et joueur de flûte de la nation Colville de l'Etat de Washington. Son répertoire inclut le folk, rock et blues et il se définit comme un musicien Natif Américain contemporain. Nominé pour le disque de l'année en 2002 au 5ème NAMA (Native American Music Awards), il a écrit en collaboration avec Sherman Alexie plusieurs chansons pour le film Smoke Signals (Phoenix Arizona) et est apparu brièvement  dans le nouveau film de Sherman Alexie The business of fancydancing. Jim est venu en Suisse au début de cette année et nous avons tous été très heureux de le revoir et le réécouter.
