Dragonball: Next Generation - Chapter 3

A small glowing spot ran across the blue sky. It slowly grew bigger as it sped towards the earth. As it got closer, it began to resemble a Saiyan Space Pod. It collided with the ground and slid through it as it slowly came to a stop leaving a long ditch behind it.

Smoke came from the door as it opened. A dark figure was inside the small one-man ship. The muscular figure stood up as the door finished opening. A frog humanoid of some sort came out of the ship. The being looked back and forth, examining its new surroundings.

"I wonder what life forms exist on this planet."

He looked from side to side with his eyes.

"If the Saiyans are here...they won't be for long."

Chichi led the Saiyans down the mall. The Saiyans were carrying ridiculously high stacks of boxes as Chichi went from store to store shopping for clothes for Kristy. Kristy used her hand to shield her face from anyone unlucky enough to see her in this situation.

"Chichi, you really don't need to do this," Kristy told Chichi yet again who was ahead of her.

"Nonsense, everyone needs clothes."

"But don't we have enough," Kristy said motioning her arms behind her to the trailing Saiyans.

Goku nearly lost his balance and fought to stay up. After a moment of the struggle he caught his balance again.

"You can never have too many clothes," Chichi told Kristy.

"Yes, you can," Kristy reassured her. "I don't need all of this stuff!"

Chichi held her hands together and started to look like she was about to cry. She got huge, shiny black eyes and quavered her bottom lip.

"I always wanted to shop for a girl. I never had a daughter of my own. I guess I'll never get to shop for girl's clothes."

She turned around and put her hands on her face.

"Don't worry, I'll be all right," she sad sadly.

Kristy sighed. She hated it when people did the guilty treatment on her.

"Fine, you can shop for me," she gave in.

Chichi turned around joyfully.

"But no dresses," she warned holding up a finger.

Chichi got a pouty look for a second then became cheerful again.

"Next stop, 'Rosanne's Clothing Department'!"

Chichi led the way to the next store. Kristy hung her head sadly. She hated shopping.

Goku stopped and felt a strong power level. He turned around to the direction of the ki.

"Did you feel that?" Goku asks.

Gohan looked at Goku then turned around too.

"Ya," he said amazed by the strength of it.

"It's definitely not someone we know.. It's too horrible.."

"We have to check it out," Goku said with a slight nod of his head.

Goku then turned to Goten who was facing that direction as well.

"Goten, you take Kristy and your mother home," Goku ordered.

Goten nodded his head. "Mom, enough shopping today. We have to go home."

Chichi turned around and blinked. "But-" She stopped when she saw Goku's stern face. She nodded and walked out to the parking lot after the guys.

After loading all the stuff into Chichi's aircar, Goku and Gohan sped off through the sky. The kids sat in the car, staring after them for a minute. Chichi turned on the car and drove home.

The alien walked through a forest filled with tall trees. He kept a close eye for any intellegent beings. He hadn't found any yet. He had no idea what to expect since the planet's inhabitants could be pratically anything.

He then saw some sort of white half-circle house. He walked up to it. He knocked the house. It was made of some kind of stone. He kicked open the wooden door and walked in. He noticed some pictures to his right. He turned around to look at them. One was of a man with unruly black hair in an orange outfit, holding a small boy with long black hair...with a tail! He looked even closer at the picture. The man...he looked so familiar...could it be? The alien remembered back to 20 years ago (40 in Earth years). The blasted Saiyan had been given the horrible burden to see his own destiny. He remembered it well. The Saiyan warrior had witnessed his planet and race's destruction several times before it actually happened. But the alien also remembered that that darn Saiyan had had offspring as well. The alien swore that he would see the Saiyans to their extinction..no matter the cost.

The alien picked up the framed picture and crushed the picture in his hand.

Chichi drove along the dirt road mumbling to herself about a sale at a big clothes department. Goten and Kristy wondered what was going on with this new big power level.

"Do you think it's an enemy?" Kristy asked.

"I don't know," Goten said thoughtfully. "I hope not.."

Gohan searched the area below them. "Where is it now?"

Goku suddenly went pale.

"It's coming from home!"

They both looked at each other. ]

"Chichi, Goten, Kristy!"

They shot forward towards the Son house, hoping it wasn't too late.

The alien looked behind him when he heard a sound outside.

"Hey..what happened to the door?" a young female voice asked.

There was a gasp outside.

"Run!"

The alien then ran out the doorway and looked around for them. He spotted a boy which looked just like the man the in the picture. The boy was in a battle stance, standing in front of a woman and a girl. The alien smirked. "You think you'll survive puny Saiyan? I don't think so."

The other Z warriors caught up with Goku and Gohan. Their auras blazed as all of them flew as fast as they could to the Son house.

Goten began to power up. Suddenly his aura turned a bright yellow as his hair turned blond and his eyes a bluish green. The alien slanted his eyes waiting for the attack.

Goten shot forward and began upper-cutting the alien's stomach. The alien just stood there and watched his attack. Goten then did a high kick to the alien's left side. The alien grabbed Goten's ankle then threw him through 5 trees. A sickening sound came every time bone collided with a tree.

The Z warriors landed and examined the scene. Goten was down at the moment with a trail of broken trees leading to him. Chichi stood next to the car shaking in fear. Kristy was looking at Goten in shock. When she slowly turned her head to look at his attacker, she looked like she was going to tear out his throat.

Kristy turned to look at a beat up Goten then slowly turned around to the alien with eyes full of anger. She screamed and jumped at him in fury. In one swift move, he connected his foot with the side of her head, snapping her head to the side and sending her through the air. Her pupils turned to gray outlines and she flew motionless. First she flew slowly then it sped up when her upper body crashed through a wall of the Son house. Blood ran down the wall, as her body lay limp.

The Z warriors shaked horrified by the sight.

"Oh-my-gosh," Tien said trembling.

"He broke her neck.." Yamcha gasped.

"You-son of a-" Goku said angrily.

Vegeta glared at the alien. "Your race doesn't deserve to live. When I get through with you, you're going to wish that Bardock had finished you off."

The alien glared back.

"You monkey tailed freaks. I'll send you to hell."

"Why'd you do that?!" Chichi finally screams.

The alien smirked.

"Anyone that gets in the way of the destruction of the Saiyans will end up wishing they hadn't."

"You-monster," Piccolo said his anger building.

All of the Z warriors clenched their teeth and glared at the attacker.

"That little slut isn't the only one that's going to die so might as well get it over and done with," the alien said confidently, crossing his arms.

The Z warriors growled at that comment. Then they looked like they smeared then disappeared. The alien cocked an eyebrow wondering what exactly they were going to do. He then looked straight above him. Future Trunks appeared and flew down ready to give him a punch. The alien side stepped causing F. Trunks to miss. He ended up causing the huge boulder behind the alien to split in half. F. Trunks turned to look up at the alien and bared his teeth.

The alien casually extended his arm and shot a ki blast at him. F. Trunks kicked one leg off the ground to gain some height to dodge and get ready for his next move. The alien followed him with his eyes.

While the alien was distracted, Gohan got ready for his attack. He powered up and a blue ball formed around his hands. He held his hands behind him.

"Kaaameeee Haaaameeee Haaa!!!"

He shot his arms forward releasing the blast.

The alien turned his head to the blast. He simply extended his arm and easily deverted the blast to some mountains behind him, destroying them.

"My turn," the alien said with a smirk as a shocked Gohan watched. The alien's muscles began to bulge as he crouched down powering up. A blue light began to outline his body. The earth began to crumble under his feet. The group watched amazed by his power. All of a sudden, he shot his arms in the air and screamed.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

A bright white light filled the air as the alien did his attack. Piccolo flew down and grabbed Gohan by the back of his shirt and flew them both out of range.

A bright white light filled the air as the alien did his attack. Piccolo flew down and grabbed Gohan by the back of his shirt and flew them both out of range.

Goku ran to Chichi and blocked her from the shockwave just when the white light swallowed them. The other men shielded themselves with an arm as dust and light came their way.

The alien heaved as he stood in a huge crater. He smirked and began chuckling when he thought that the others were dead. He stopped when the dust cleared. The Z warriors just stood there, still in defensive poses. They looked up at the alien.

"Wow..that was wild," Krillen said amazed, between breaths.

Chichi stuck her head up and looked around.

"Where's my son?!" she yelled worried.

"Right here, Mom," Gohan waved down to his mom.

"But where's Goten?" she said as she got up and began searching.

"Goten!" she called out.

Goten jumped down from the roof of the Son house with Kristy in his arms. He carefully walked, making sure he wouldn't cause anymore damage to her. He slowly laid her down on the ground. Chichi ran up to them.

"Are you okay?" she asked in her concerned motherly tone.

Goten sadly shook his head. "She isn't doing very well."

Chichi frowned.

Goten then looked up and glared at the alien.

"Why?" he asked, his blood boiling.

"Why did you do this?!"

"Saiyans destroyed my race so I must destroy there's. Anyone else who stands beside them will be destroyed as well. It all started 40 Earth years ago. Freeza's Saiyan warriors invaded my home planet. They caused complete destruction. They even went as far as to kill most of the inhabitants. My brother, one of the last survivors, snuck up on one of the dogs, and cursed him with the power to see his future. He witnessed Freeza's betrayal and destruction of his planet and his people. But it seems that Freeza hadn't finished the job. I intend to."

The Z warriors ran up into a line and got into fighting stances.

"Don't count on that," Goku replied.

"ATTACK!!" Piccolo shouted as they all but Goku, Gohan, and Gohan ran forward.

Vegeta shot a punch at the alien's face but missed. Trunks did a punch to the other side but lower and missed as well. Vegeta and Trunks looked at each other then punched him in the face at the same time. The alien was blown back a ways. He flipped then landed.

Goku, Gohan, and Goten got into the same pose with their hands connected behind them. "KAAAAMMEEEEEE..."

Piccolo turned around and realized what Goku, Gohan, and Goten were doing. Piccolo uprooted a tree and swung it like a bat at the alien's stomach. They were going to need a distraction.

"HAAAAMMEEEEEE..."

The other Z fighters jumped at the alien and punched and kicked. The alien grew annoyed and hit them all to the ground. They struggled to move. The alien walked to the fallen Vegeta. He stared coldly at him for a moment. Vegeta struggled to lift his head up to look back at him. Vegeta clenched his teeth as the alien brought up his arm preparing to kill him.

"Dad, no," Future Trunks whispered through clenched teeth. He was lying on the ground, making a fist around some dirt.

"HHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

The trio shot a Triple Kamehameha at the alien. The alien turned around and stared in horror at the oncoming massive ki blast. The blast hit him...and went through him. Blue blood leaked from the hole and from his mouth as he slowly fell to the ground.

The other warriors had gotten up and all of them were standing over the alien.

"Fools," the alien spat "You haven't won."

"I think you got that wrong," Vegeta said.

"Heh. There will be more," the alien said with a smirk. He then coughed up some more blue blood.

"And-when they do-you will loose the most important things to you. And do you know what's the funny part? There's nothing you can do to change it. Haha. Haha. Hahahaha!"

Vegeta grew annoyed and blasted the alien's head off.

"Hmph. What do you know?"

The Z warriors walked back to the Son house, which was partly demolished. Chichi was wiping away some of the blood from Kristy's body.

"What are we going to do with her?" Gohan asks the others.

"How am I suppose to know? You're the smart one," Future Trunks said back. Gohan sighed.

Piccolo got down and carefully picked up Kristy from the ground. Her legs dangled lifelessly. He would of thought she was dead except for the tiny flicker of breathing, heartbeat, and ki.

"What are you doing?" Goten asked curiously.

"Taking her to Dende's," he said facing the direction of Kami's lookout.

"How come I didn't think of that?" Goku asked scratching his head.

"Because you're an idiot, Kakkorot."

Yep, you guessed it; that was Vegeta.

"Hey," Goku said slightly offended. Piccolo began speeding off to Kami's lookout. The others followed.

Piccolo slammed open the door. Dende and Mr. Popo turned around.

"Why hello Piccolo..." Dende then looked at what he was holding. "Oh my..."

Piccolo walked in with the other Z warriors following, and sat the broken body on a table. "She doesn't have much time," Piccolo said hanging his head.

Dende gave a slight nod of his head then extended his hands over the body. His hands glowed a yellow as he began healing the girl.

Kristy's neck began to go back to its original curve instead of a broken line. Her bloody wounds began to be replaced by skin. The blood on her disappeared.

A few minutes later she began to sit up. She stared amazed at her hands.

"I'm alive..."

She felt her neck; it wasn't broken anymore.

"How..?"

"Thanks to Dende, you're okay !" Goten said cheerfully.

She turned her head to the side to see Dende. She jumped about 3 feet in the air.

"Y-you l-look j-just l-like-" she said shakily pointing to Piccolo.

Dende nodded his head. "Yes, I know I resemble Piccolo. It kind of runs in the species."

Kristy calmed down and thought about that for a moment.

"Cool," she said smiling. She then looked down at her shirt. There were holes in it revealing her bra. She quickly put her arms around her chest and blushed uncontrollably. Piccolo smirked and extended his arm, pointing two fingers at her. They began glowing yellow. Kristy watched curiously, but not the least bit worried. New orange clothes appeared on her. She then fell back on the table.

"These are a bit heavy.."

She clenched her teeth and struggled to sit up again.

"What-the heck-are these clothes-made of?"

"Those are weighted clothes for part of your training," Piccolo responded with his arms crossed.

Everyone looked at him.

Chichi stomped through the group to the front.

"No, no, NO! You are not going to train her!"

"She needs the training. Also, she'll need to learn how to control her hidden powers."

"Hidden powers?" Kristy asked. "What hidden powers?"

Chichi ignored her. "NO."

"I'm not asking, I'm telling! If she's going to survive against the next enemies we will be going up against, she'll need to be able to control her powers!"

Kristy was obviously confused.

Chichi pointed her pointing finger at Piccolo about to shout something but couldn't think of anything to say.

"Don't worry Chichi, Kristy will be all right," Goku reassured his wife.

Chichi sighed. "I guess you're right."

"What is everyone so worried about?"

Kristy asked standing up. She then walked forward. It was a little hard for her to pick up her feet but she managed. She stood next to Piccolo.

"Piccolo's going to be with me," she said wondering what the big deal was.

Piccolo smirked. "Good. Training begins now."

Piccolo landed in the flat lands. He set down Kristy and then crossed his arms.

"What do we do first?" Kristy asked curiously.

"You survive on your own for awhile. After you've finished the survival training, I'll train you personally."

"Why does this sound like Boy Scouts?"

"I assure you it isn't," Piccolo said with his usual scowl, "Out here, no one can hear you scream."

Kristy shot up and eyebrow at that remark. I thought the line was 'In space, no one can hear you scream.' Kristy shook it off. "How long will you be gone?"

"As long as it takes for you to master the training."

Kristy got a worried look. She didn't like the idea of being out here all alone. Her brother had been in the Boy Scouts, but it wasn't like she picked up anything from him!

"Good luck," he said turning around and taking off into the sky.

Kristy crossed her arms as she watched him disappear into the sky. "This is great...juuust great."
