This is the status of my own projects

8/15/99

- I have collected enought parts to see that my Servo will soon go to the assembly stage. I have enough extra parts that I can consider trading. Decided to launch a new website (this one) to help other newbies find parts, and accurate info.

9/11/99 - Found a genuine Carousel snack dispenser at a yard sale today (fifty cents). Close inspection shows the absence of the vertical ridges found on the most recent version of Servo. I will now stop fretting about using a "Sweet Factory" dispenser as it appears that BBI was using them too.
(NOTE - I have since discovered this snack dispenser is a "Season One" Servo head. If you're building a Season One Servo and have something good to trade - email me!)

9/24/99 - Found Testor's #1629 Ruby Red Metal Flake paint at Wal-Mart at $2.39 for at 3oz. spray can. I don't know if this is a bargain or not, but, I was there, the paint was there, I had money in my pocket.....
11/4/99 - My wife, for our anniversary, presents me with a set of clown hands, six vacuformed turbotrains, and an engine block - everything I need to complete my Servo. THANK YOU HONEY!!! What a great wife! Thanks also to Gary Glover for helping her with the parts and the skullduggery required to keep it a surprise!
1/17/00 - Scored a genuine Schwarz Bros. soap dish!
1/23/00 - Scored a Trelawney of Canada soap dish! Same size and shape as a Schwarz, with a couple of extra curves, a good alternate.
1/30/00 - Completed build up of Hoverskirt assembly. Still needs paint. Photos and write up on Construction Page
1/30/00 -Scored some flat-bottomed crown pins!
1/31/00 - Started construction of small scale vacuform machine. Soapdishes, flashlight hoods, and trains soon to follow!
2/9/00 -Finished vacuformer, did test pulls on Trelawney soapdish, pleased with result!
2/11/00 -Vacuformed a pair of flashlight hoods so I won't have to try to use my originals (more difficult)
3/5/00 -Completed dryfit of Servo, all parts trimmed, fitted and bolted on -nothing glued. I will not paint until I get photos of everything.
4/15/00 -Started assembling a Crow. Mostly to work out the eyes. Since I have enough parts to make several complete head assemblies (with out XL7's), maybe I can sell a couple and get the rest of my Crow parts
7/7/00 -Finally getting back to Bot Building, Spent several weeks moving the Bot Factory to new digs. Recently found some real Poppets, another Schwarz soapdish, and a couple more flashlights! Man! Up to my a**  in flashlights and can't find a (reasonable) seat anywhere!
