April 20th Car Show Results
Roy(President), Lee(member), Will(member), and will's family(mother, father, wife, child, and one on the way) attended the car show. Will decided to put his 2002 Neon R/T in the car show for the very first time. You have to break the cherry some time and this was a great opportunity to see where the car ranked in the area.
Lowered Horizons car club hosted the show (lhshow.com). They have two annual shows. The first is the YTeen's and the other is the IDShow. The YTeen show is their third annual and had 120 cars last year and 130+ this year. The proceeds from the show are split 50/50 with the youth organization at the Baxter YMCA in Greenwood(just south of Indianapolis).
We arrived with not alot of time left, so the chrome rims had to be switched on location as well as using a spray wax and rag rather than running through the car wash. That was cause to be worried about, but this was a great learning lesson that teaches to prepare better. But all in all, being the first car show for Will, he did a wonderful job!
The car show was filled with any type of car your into....classic, lowrider, air bagged(even fast bags), hydro's, rims(15's all the way up to 23's on an SUV), raised, lowered, custom interior/paint/body, ect.
The judging occured from 6pm until it was finished and the awards were handed out at 9pm. It was well worth the wait(we left at 1pm), because Will brought home a "Top 30 Trophy". It is a great start to a wonderful vehicle.
Will is the first vehicle out of the club to get national exposure. In the May 2002 issue of Ministyle you can check out the Yteen3 coverage and see the pics of Will's ride and plenty of other rides that were at the show.
Lowered Horizons hosted the show and have a web site up with more pictures and results. So check out the YTeen3 Page. If thats not enough coverage for you, how about guagemagazine's coverage of the event. Oh..and if you need even more coverage...check out another sponsor of the event, Ministyle or go directly to their pages of covereage on the YTeen3 Show.
