Sunday, June 17th
Mike Taylor placed 4th in the 800m run at AOC with a personal record of 1:50.? Mike went from last place to 4th in his heat in a matter of meters' at the end of the race, great job!
Saturday, June 16th
The 4x8 team placed 14th and Mike Taylor repeated as State Champion in the 800m run. Yesterday the 4x8 team competed at the Adidas Outdoor National Championships in Raleigh, North Carolina placing 18th out of all the teams w/ a time of 8:03.?, and today Mike Taylor is competing in the 800m run in a very fast heat. Great job to the 4x8 team and good luck to Mike in the 800m
Thursday, May 24th
Mike Taylor in the 800 and the 4x8 relay team consisting of Mike Urbanik, Mike Zonder, Mike Taylor, and Adam Ritter advance to the State meet held next Friday! Other times have been posted on the results page.
Sunday, May 20th
I have added both the DAC and Sectional Results to the page so go check them out. Boys Regionals is in Valpo on the 24th. Good Luck to those racing!
Wednesday, May 2nd
In the past week, Portage has won races at Rensselaer, Portage Relays, and at Michigan City. Times will be up on the Results page shortly once i receive them. Next week we race at MHS and VHS for the Varsity and JV conference meets.

Tuesday, April 17th
We ran against Valpo and Hobart today in extreme north wind conditions. The wind was so bad that the jumps got postponed for tomorrow, but the wind did not stop runners to race. Taylor won the 1600 and 800 and our 4x4 team also raced well to place first. Click here to view times.
Tuesday, April 10th
Today we defeated Chesterton and Laporte in a triangular meet at Chesterton. Leading the way was Mike Taylor winning the 800m and 1600m run. Click here for times.
Wednesday, April 4th
Today we beat Lake Central in a Duo Meet by 20 points. Great races to T. Erickson and Ritter in the mile. Other well performances were ran by Zonder, Urbanik, Taylor, and Helpingstine in the 1600m and 800m. For all the distance runners times please click here!We race Chesterton and Laporte next Tuesday.
Friday, March 23rd
Yesterday Mike Zonder ran a 4:44, Tom Erickson a 4:45, Cuyler Simmons ran a 4:45, Mike Urbanik ran a 4:50, and Rob Charbonneau ran a 4:47 at the meet in Merriville. Chas Pall (2:10), Tom Erickson (2:10), Adam Ritter (2:06), and Mike Zonder (2:09) ran in the 4x8 and placed 1st with an overal time of 8:35.43

Monday, March 19th
Portage Distance boys will be participating in the Bishop Noll Indoor meet. This meet goes on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday Andy Zeha, Steve Helpingstine, Robert Vega, and Doug Reynolds will be running in the 20 lap relay (2 miles). On Wednesday Matt McClusky and Doug Reynolds will be running the 1600m. Alex Mulvilhill and Brian Westerkamp will be racing in the 3200m. Good Luck to all teams!!!
Thursday, March 10th
Great Races to everyone who participated in the Purdue Finals. Portage's Mike Zonder placed 8th in the 2 mile, and Matt Diamond placed 4th in the long jump.
Wednesday, March 9th
Portage distance boys will participate in the Purdue Finals on Thursday. Tom Erickson and Mike Zonder will be running in the 3200m and we have a Dis. Medley Team competing. The Dis. Medley Team consist of Chas Pall in the 400m, Cuyler Simmons in the 800m, Mike Urbanik in the 1200m,and Adam Ritter in the 1600m. Good Luck to all!
