TO HELP PEOPLE AT ALL TIMES
"SAVE A TREE" Did you know that for every four feet of newspaper that is recylcled, a TREE is saved? We like the outdors and we like trees. So far we have saved over 14 trees from being cut down. We take our old newspapers to Wesselman's Woods Nature Center. The money that they receive from our old newspaper is used to fund the Nature Center and to provide educational programs at the center. It doesn't get much better than that. The trees win both ways. "POP TABS" We save POP-TABS for the Ronald McDonald House of Indianapolis, IN.(Link is not to Indianapolis, but it does tell about the pop tab program and how it helps kids and their families.) This is a great way to recycle and help people at the same time. Isn't it nice to know that if you are away from home with a child in the hospital that there is a place for parents to stay and be close to their kids.
"PUT A CAP ON CANCER" There is nothing that can make you feel better when your sick than knowing someone cares about you, and wants you to get well. We want to pass that feeling of caring to cancer patients. Chemotherapy makes many cancer patients lose their hair. We are decorating hats with smiles and flowers and wishes. Some of the hats will be taking a trip to Grand Rapids, MI and some will be going to Mt Vernon , IL. Do you know of someone with Cancer who might really benefit from a "Put a Cap on Cancer"hat?
