- Driving Education provides future drivers the ability to develop a safe, wholesome attitude toward the driving task and others who use the highways.
- This course includes instruction about traffic laws, automobile insurance, driver attitudes, information related to the operation of the car, and on road driving.

The Driver Education Course at Marion High School is designed to develop a student's fundamental driving skills and essential driving knowledge. Also to instill proper attitudes, efficient driving habits, as well as an awareness of moral and legal driving responsibilities.
- Another attribute of Driver Education is to significantly reduce the number of motor vehicle accidents, which will reduce fatalities, injuries and
result in safer highways for everyone.
- This driver education course provides competent instruction in helping students learn such fundamental driving skills, techniques and decision making.
- Traffic safety is a shared responsibility of our community, school and home.
- Drivers Education affords the student to assume a safe active role in the betterment of their life by learning skills that they will use during their future years.
- The Summer Driver Education Course at Marion High School is one semester in length and normally consists of instruction during the months of June and July.
