 Treasures

Once upon a time, not so very long ago,
I had four little children and proudly watched them grow.
I began to lose them, one by one, as each went off to school.
Teachers and friends replaced me, as they learned the Golden Rule.
Years flew by so quickly and soon they were full grown.
Now they are very busy, living new lives of their own.
If you are raising little ones, enjoy them while you may,
For in just a few tomorrows, they'll be grown and gone away.
At first you'll feel a sense of loss and then you will discover,
It's as great to be a Grandma, as it is to be a Mother.
