There are some new treatments available
for MS. Some may still be in the
experimental stage, but it is good to
have the information to ask your doctor
about.
NovantroneŽ - (mitoxantrone for
injection concentrate) This drug has
been used in treating some forms of
cancer. It is now being used in studies
for MS, with positive results. It has
been shown to reduce disease activity
and slowing the progression in
relapsing-remitting or progressive MS.
Treatment is given once every three
months intraveneously (IV).
