You continue through the caverns, listening to the echoes off of the stone walls. Beautiful rock formations line the path : stalagmites and stalagtites. You also note the fact that the light coming from the walls appears to be travelling with you; the same amount of area ahead and behind you is always lit. You decide it would be best not to think about that anymore, lest you get a headache. Instead, you question the pixies on the origin of these tunnels.
'Oh,' replies Kalika, 'while Rikale sat in the forest and kept visitors away, I went out and did the real work!' Rikale glares at Kalika, who promptly ignores her and continues. 'I recruited dwarves to help shape the tunnels, as well as using the dragons. Since dragons are magical creatures, they have a certain amount of control over nature. With both of these groups working, the caves became livable in no time, at least in dragon standards.'
'Which mainly requires a room large enough for their hoarde.' Rikale shakes her head in wonder. 'I've never been able to understand their facination with... material possessions. Gold and jewels are pretty, but what is the need for so much?'
'Who knows? So,' Kalika turns to you, 'care to pay a dragon a visit?'
