A Corner of the Forest Glade

You wander into the southwestern corner of the forest glade. Peace closes in around you like an embrace. You close your eyes and dream of staying here forever. The thought is very tempting.

Your eyes fly open when you hear the strangest sound : singing! You leap to your feet and stare wildly about yourself, attempting to discover the source of the beautiful lyrics. An interesting sight catches your eye : a tiny gazebo sits hidden in the grass. You approach the stone structure and glance inside. Startled, you do a double take. Upon looking inside again, your first thoughts are confirmed. Inside the gazebo are two pixies, a male and a beautiful female. The male pixie is serenading what you guess is his lover.

You sigh to yourself and sit back on the grass. Your eyes close again, and you listen tranquilly to the handsome pixie's song of love :

'The sun shines on your glorious hair,
More beautiful than glistening gold.
My life would be complete if I
Could always have your hand to hold.

'Your eyes are sapphires in a face
Carved from the purest ivory.
Your one and only is what I am,
And I would give my life to be.

'Embrace me, dearest Abigayl,
Like you have not embraced before!
Our love is pure; our love is true,
And will endure forever more!'

The female pixie, Abigayl, throws her arms around her lover, weeping. 'Oh, Oryn, that was beautiful! I love you so much!' The two lovers cling to each other, and remain in that position for long moments. You wipe a tear from your eye and stand. Upon looking at your two pixie companions, you catch a glimpse of them having the same problems with their emotions. You smile at them and proceed with your adventure.
