Okay, time for some more Larry King-sized ramblings, because it's so gosh
darn easy!...Yes, I did dress up for Halloween. I was Thing #1 from The
Cat in the Hat. I'll post a picture once I get my hands on one...Smarties
are the poor man's SweeTarts...Arrested
Development is the best show on television and it's a damn shame
no one is watching it (Except all us cool people)!...Seeing a little
baby's picture in the obituaries can really bring me down...Squidbillies:
acceptable, 12
oz. Mouse: unacceptable...Here's a question for a DC Comics
fanboy/fangirl: Do you think Monsieur Mallah ever gets jealous of Gorilla
Grodd?...Something from a recent New Yorker that made me laugh:
"We've got to fire Brownie. We're Brownie-firers."...Finally,
here's one of the reasons I love John
Dalton's comic books:

It's time to write like Larry King!...Halloween is quickly approaching and
I'm still deciding if I'm going to dress up this year...I don't know if I
want to live in a world where nobody remembers Kukla, Fran, and Ollie...I
really enjoyed the Wallace and Gromit movie (They had me with Anti-Pesto),
but I still think The Wrong Trousers is their best outing...I wish
I could write about movies and television as well as this
guy... I need to buy some toothpaste...I recently saw an episode of Law
and Order that featured the actress who plays Maria on Sesame
Street. She was a witness that testified against a murderous
transvestite. I don't know about you, but I always find it a little weird
to see actors from Sesame Street acting in other shows. It's like
bumping into one of your teachers at the supermarket...When I started to
write this, I thought I had a lot to write about, but now I'm not so
sure...If a movie has "Based on a True Story" in its title, I
have no desire to see it...By the way, Sonia
Manzano is the name of the actress who plays Maria. I think she was
one of my first TV crushes...I like all of the Iron Chefs, but I have a
fondness for Sakai.

I don't know why I haven't mentioned this before, but I got a new car. In
a surprise move, my dad bought me a slightly used, Pepsi-can blue 2005
Impala just over a month ago and, boy, is she a beauty! I love driving it
around. It's a radical change from my slowly-falling-apart Cutlass Supreme
and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again, Dad!

I have Bell's Palsy. It's a condition where the muscles of the face become
paralyzed due to a facial nerve paralysis. That means my face is currently
stuck in place for the most part. I can't furrow my brow, smile, move my
eyebrows, pucker my lips, whistle, and the list goes on. My eyes blink
very slowly. The only expression my face can make is the one you find on
the face of a male model, staring out to you from a magazine ad that is
selling some Calvin Klein related cologne. My speech is slightly slurred
due to my practically immovable mouth. Eating and drinking involves small
bites and smaller sips. Thankfully, however, there is no pain involved.
I have had this lovely ailment
since last Thursday. That's when I noticed something was slightly askew
when I tried to brush my teeth and water kept dribbling out from my bottom
lip. Yup, something was certainly off. Of course, it took me a couple days
to finally see a doctor and that was mainly due to the insistence of my
mom. When I went over to Mom's house to do some laundry, I think my
condition really scared her and that made me feel bad. So Saturday night
saw me in the emergency room where I got some tests and a CAT scan and a
diagnosis: Bell's Palsy. I was given a script for some medication and then
I was sent on my way.
Bell's Palsy can last from a few
days to a few months so I'm left with some uncertainty of just when my
face will return to normal. Due to that, I sadly had to drop out from The
Eight: The Reindeer Monologues. I really hated to do that, too,
but there's no way I could successfully act in my current state.
So I have Bell's Palsy for the time
being and I'm doing fine for the most part. I know things will get back to
normal eventually. I just hope it is sooner than later.

I've been stuck with an annoying cold the past week or so. Nothing life
threatening or anything. Just a nagging, hacking cough, a stuffy head and
such. Thankfully, I seem to be on the road to recovery.
So is anybody anticipating the
Wallace and Gromit movie as much as I am?
