Today is my niece Keeley's ninth birthday. She's currently touring the east
coast with her mother, her grandparents, and her siblings at the moment so
I can't call her up and wish her a "Happy Birthday" so I guess
this is the closest thing at the moment: Happy Birthday, Keke!

1. On the first day of spring, I nearly ran over a robin.
2. It snowed yesterday. Not as much
as the weatherheads said it would, but enough to be ironic.
3. I once accidentally ran into a
Canadian goose. It tried to fly away before impact, but it was too late. I
still remember seeing it roll to the side of the road in my rearview
mirror. I still feel guilty about that.
4. Would somebody be a dear and buy
me all the Mystery Science Theater
3000 DVDs? Pretty please?
5. One of these days I'm going to
articulate the many reasons Arrested Development is one of the
greatest TV shows ever, but until then these
folks do a heck of a job! (Thanks to X-Ray
Spex for the link)

I just got my tax refund check and all the money is practically spent. I
need more tax refund checks...Today is the official first day of spring
and it's supposed to snow...I recently came up with a killer idea for a
theme restaurant. I call it Anime Buffet and it features Japanese pop
culture! Just imagine booths in shapes of robots and giant monsters with
Japanese waitresses wearing blue and purple wigs. It would be just like
Jack Rabbit Slim, but with an Asian flair! If my idea appeals to your
inner investor, ,just float some capital my way!...While flipping through
some channels last night, I stumbled upon Nashville
on TMC and I'm glad I did. I've only seen the last half-hour of it
before so I was curious to see the rest of it. I missed the very beginning
of it, but I didn't mind. I enjoyed it immensely and I've been thinking
about it all day. I want to see it again. I wonder if it is out on DVD?...I
just checked and it is...Okay, I just bought it. What did I say about
needing more tax checks?

Time to play catch-up...
Last Saturday
Midsummer finally ended and we went out on top! We had our
largest audience closing night and they were very enthusiastic. Despite
some minor reservations at first, I'm really glad to have been part of
such a great show. I had a good time working with a talented cast and
director! It was also great to finally share the stage with my friends,
Joe Skeen, Judy Cole, and Jerry Cole! While parting is such a sweet
sorrow, I hope I have a chance to work with all these creative folks in
the near future!
Last Sunday
It was Sopranos Sunday
and, in honor of the new season, we celebrated with spaghetti and garlic
bread (I was hoping to have some baked ziti as well, but the cost and the
time made me reconsider. Yes, I know I'm cheap and lazy!). Eric
cooked everything up with his usually panache (See picture up above for
proof) and, like Tony Soprano, we all took one in the gut. Fortunately for
us, pasta is not as painful as a bullet!
Me like food!
Last Monday-Friday
I went back to second shift at Touchy Feely Fotos and the typical
drudgery ensued. I'll spare you the details.
Yesterday
I spent nearly six hours watching an Endurance
marathon on Discovery Kids. Then I did my laundry. I'll spare you the
details.

The Wall
In this same interlude, it doth
befall
That I, one Snout by name, present a wall;
And such a wall as I would have you think
That had in it a crannied hole or chink,
Through which the lovers, Pyramus and Thisbe,
Did whisper often, very secretly.
This loam, this rough-cast, and this stone doth show
That I am that same wall; the truth is so.
And this the cranny is, right and sinister,
Through which the fearful lovers are to whisper.
