Notes for The Snakepit
Charms, Hexes, and Curses
Conspectus res cibus: Latin. Rough translation is "see the world as food." Causes the victim to view textbooks as sandwiches, etc. much as occurs in cartoons when people are hungry. May be reversed with Finite Incantatem.
Conspictus res sosibus: Latin. Roughly translates "See the world as safe". Used to pacify touchy animals or quiet children scared of monsters under the bed at night. Wears off in twelve hours or may be reversed with Finite Incantatem.
Famis: A hex causing insatiable blind hunger. If it looks like food, the victim will eat it, or try to. From the Latin for "hunger". May be reversed with Finite Incantatem.
