This page is split into two (2) sections...Partners in Crime & Wotdahell Dept. This first section is dedicated to what I feel are the best cars I've seen at the shows that I've attended. The following pictures obviously don't do justice to the real Masterpiece. I'm extremely grateful that I was fortunate enough to witness these true "Works of Art" in person. You guys are (in my eyes) the Best of the Best!!!!
1967 Pro Mod Chevy Nova
by Anthony Cairo
Anthony Cairo's Pro Mod Nova is a most amazing model. I watched this car being pieced together better than most real cars are for 3 years.
When you talk to Anthony about how he builds, he'll tell you that he does it as if it was a real car....if there's a gauge, there must be an electric hook-up and a line to whatever the gauge is for etc, etc. Sounds logical for a real car....but this is a plastic model, remember?
Bellytanker Salt Flats Racer
by Tony DelVechio
Since I took these pictures, my good friend Tony has passed away. God Rest His Soul. Cya soon Buddy.
Tony started with a 1/48th scale WW2 Vampire Jet then miraculously converted it into the most beautiful 50's Bellytanker Salt Flats Racer I've ever seen.
The engine is a 32 Ford Flathead w/49 Merc heads, scatchbuilt fuel injectors, moon tank and exhaust.
The interior is fully decked out to the max with just about everything scratch built.
Front & rear suspension comes from a 34 Ford w/scratchbuilt aluminum radius rods. Pushbar is also scratchbuilt aluminum.
Rims and wheelcovers were spun by Tony himself. Tires are 1958 Chevrolet Firestones that were sanded smooth.
