"Still A Work In Progress, but Enjoy What Is Here So Far..."

These airchecks are "mp3" files. If you have some sort of mp3 player (Winamp, Real Player, etc.)  installed on your computer, once you click on the links below, the mp3 files will download, open up whatever mp3 player is on your computer, and play. If not, each mp3 file is stored in your Windows/Temporary Internet directory, as that is the file where items you are downloading from the internet are retained until you delete them. If you are using AOL 7.0, AOL's media player should open up and play the aircheck.

Update: There is an entire series in the works regarding the history of WCSI, 1010 on the AM dial, in Columbus, Indiana. Sam Simmermaker, and Marilyn Smith, who once hosted the Phone Club, will be something to look forward to in the (hopefully) not to distant future.

W I F E, Lucky 13 (1310) on the AM dial, was one of the most popular radio stations listened to in and around the Columbus area in the 1960's. The "Good Guys" included, at various times, Reb Porter, Roger W. Morgan (in the "morgan," which was his way of saying "morning"), and Jay Reynolds.

Here is a 24 second aircheck (187k; about 30 seconds to download with a 56k modem) from Jay Reynolds, from January 3, 1968.

Another 47 second (365k; about a minute to download from a 56k modem) from Jay Reynolds, from January 3, 1968.

A 25 second aircheck from Tuesday, July 14, 1964 (197k; less than a minute to download from a 56k modem) from Jay Reynolds
