DEATH

As with the six of Cups, DEATH represents renewal, but in a more radical manner. this card brings a total transformation which purges the personality and the physical body. It symbolizes a dramatic shedding of antiquated skin from which an absolutely new person emerges. the renewal is so devastating that the new form bears little resemblance to the old one. In order to perpetuate growth and stimulate creation, the old attitudes and behavioral patterns must be destroyed. And purging them may be painful and uncomfortable.

During this time of tremendous alteration, a loss may be incurred. You may loose certain people who are a part of your life but have no place in your new phase of existence. their absence accelerates your transformation because you no longer reinforce what you shared with them.

DEATH also connotes the active, visible part of your life moving into a dormant stage. As with a plant when it dies, it goes underground to await the next harvest, reappearing in a slightly different form.
