Frequently Asked
Questions
What is Wicca?
Wicca is an unending path of
light, magic, love, and constant learning. We revere nature and see the
true divine beauty of the universe. It is about recognizing that we all
have the ability to take our fate into our own hands, and we have the
right to choose how we use that power. There is no bible and no prophet.
Our only rule is a simple and logical one: "An it harm none, do as ye
will."
Do Wiccans worship
the Devil?
NO! We do not believe in the
devil. We believe that the God and Goddess possess both positive and
negative energies.
Isn't the Pentagram
a symbol of Satanism?
NO! This is a common
misconception. The Pentagram is a symbol of protection. The five pointed
star represents the elements of earth, air, fire, water and above all
the spirit. Satanists turn the pentagram upside down with the spirit on
the bottom which puts everything above the spirit. It should be noted
that in some covens the upside down pentagram represents a second degree
initiate.
Is Wicca a legally
recognized religion?
YES! Wicca is recognized by the
Department of Defense and the United States government. The U.S.
military recognizes Wicca just as it recognizes Christianity, Islam, and
Jewish-Orthodox among many others.
Where should I
begin?
If you are truly interested in
Wicca and feel that it is the path that you wish to follow, I suggest
that you read everything you can get your hands on. There are many
wonderful books that will help you on your journey. The internet also
has a ton of information on Wicca. Listen, learn and keep an open mind.
What are the laws
and rule of Wicca?
Live each day as if it
were your last, for one day you will be right!
Love yourself first
and foremost. For when you truly love yourself, loving those around you
will come as easily as breathing - and we all must breathe.
Learn your life's
lessons- each as it comes - for that is the reason we are here.
Enjoy you life,
because if you do not most likely someone else will enjoy it for
you...and then your time on here will have been wasted.
