The themes on this site were created for Windows 98 using the PLUS! Desktop Themes feature.
The themes are best viewed on a 800 x 600 High Colour (16 bit ) screen.

There are two ways to install the theme of your choice.

• AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION: Windows 98
• MANUAL INSTALLATION: Windows 95
  

TO CHECK YOU HAVE WINDOWS DESKTOP THEMES PLUS! INSTALLED ....

1. Open CONTROL PANEL
2. Open ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS
3. Click the WINDOWS SET UP tab
4. Click DESKTOP THEMES (Tick the box)
5.Click DETAILS button
6. Tick the box DESKTOP THEMES SUPPORT
7. Click OK

Automatic Installation  (Win 98)

1. Download your chosen zipped theme to your Downloads folder
2. Right click the zip
3. Select "Extract to....
4. Save to --> C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes

Close your zip program and open this directory (C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes)
5. Click the "my_choice.theme" file (ie: The 54 seconds theme will be "54sec.theme" -- The BGS2000 theme will be "BGS2000.theme")
(You Plus! Desktop Themes window will open automatically)
6. Click OKAY

SCREEN SAVER
Your screen saver will not install automatically. I have utilized the windows flying screen saver to minimize on conflicts. Please follow these steps to add your screen saver.

1. Go to your CONTROL PANEL 
2. Open DISPLAY 
3. Click the SCREEN SAVER tab 
4. Click SETTINGS 
5. Select "Textured Flag" from the drop down menu.
6. Click TEXTURE 
7. Double click the image you want as your screen saver 
(i.e.54secSS.BMP image in your C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes folder ). 
8. Set RESOLUTION and SIZE at maximum. 
9. Click OK 
10. Click APPLY
11. OK

(B) MANUAL INSTALLATION (Win 95)

So you don't have win 98. You can still install this theme in it's basic form. I'll use the 54 Seconds theme as an example.
1. Download your chosen zipped theme to your Downloads folder
2. Right click the zip
3. Select "Extract to....
4. Save to --> C:\Program Files\Themes

SETTING THE DESKTOP WALLPAPER
1. Go to the new Themes folder (ie: C:\Program Files\Themes)
2. OPEN the 54sectheme.jpg image
4. RIGHT CLICK the image and select SET AS WALLPAPER


SETTING THE SCREEN SAVER
Your screen saver will not install automatically. I have utilized the windows flying screen saver to minimize on conflicts. Please follow these steps to add your screen saver.

5. Select 3D FLYING OBJECTS from the drop-down menu
6. Click SETTINGS
7 . Select "Textured Flag" from the drop down menu.
8. Click TEXTURE 
9 . Double click the image you want as your screen saver 
(i.e.54secSS.BMP image in your themes folder (ie: C:\Program Files\Themes folder ). 
10. Set RESOLUTION and SIZE at maximum. 
11. Click OK 
12. Click APPLY
13. OK


SETTING THE ICONS
You will only be able to use the icons for shortcuts. This means that where you have a shortcut, you can change the regular short cut icon to your new 54 seconds icons.

1. Find the shortcut icon you want to change
2. Click CHANGE ICON
3. Click BROWSE
4. Go to your C:\Program Files\Themes\54sec folder (This is where your icons are)
5. DOUBLE CLICK the icon you want
6.Click OKAY
7.Click OKAY
