REMEMBER

Those lost a year ago will never be forgotten,
the names and faces perhaps to all but family and friends,
however the people of this nation will always keep 9-11-2001
as a day of remembrance. How each of us remembers
is a personal thing, some find it too painful to relive that
days events, while others will choose to remember by
watching all the coverage in the media.

On 9-11 I will say a prayer for those who lost loved
ones a year ago. In the evening I will sit quietly and
spend some time in thought. I will remember the
firefighters, and the policemen, I'll think of the
bravery it took to go into those burning buildings.
I'll remember Todd Beemer saying "Lets Roll,"
and Ill remember the great leadership of our
president and say a prayer for him, asking God to
guide him in the decisions he has yet to make.

I will also remember those who have died since that
tragic day, fighting terrorism, and I will remember why
it is necessary that they be in harms way. I will
ask God to look over our military and keep our sons
and daughters safe as the fight against terror
continues. And I will remember those who gave
their lives in the past to keep this nation free.

Only one year has passed, and yet here in
AMERICA life seems pretty much back to normal.
That's the beauty of this GREAT NATION! Most
of us grew up here, and we take the freedoms we
enjoy pretty much for granted most of the time. The
right of free speach that lets me post my thoughts
here, and for you to disagree if you choose, The right
we all have to worship (or not) as we choose. These
rights are precious things those who attacked us
do not understand, and would take from us.

These freedoms are why we must REMEMBER

Last years tragedy brought out an enormous amount
of patriotism in many Americans. We felt compelled
to rally around the flag, to pay more attention to what
government was doing, and show our pride! We came
together as a nation as we always have in times of
national crisis, and in the midst of tragedy we were
ONE VOICE.

Hold on to that national pride America!

Remember those brave men and women who have
given all, but remember too that the threat of
another attack is real. As I said "life here seems
pretty much back to normal" but dont let "normal"
mean we are once again complacent. Also don't let
back to "normal" mean we FORGET that we MUST not let
this happen again, and that we MUST take the fight to those
who would destroy us! It may not always seem to be so,
but we are at war! We can not afford the luxury of
a short memory this time.

So I urge all of those who read this be it today or in
the future remember, but remember well! Remember
those who died with reverence, and those left behind with
compassion. Remember the horror of 9-11 with the single
minded resolution needed to insure that it is never repeated!

REMEMBER
