Collections

This listing is just a small portion of the genealogical material available within the
Research Rooms. The Rooms house over 300 Scott County, Indiana books
dating from the mid 1800's to the mid 1900's. These contain original entries.
There are fifteen volumes of original marriage licenses and returns,
plus one volume of affidavits and parents permissions.

Other books include records from the Treasurer's Office, the Auditor's Office,
the Assessor's Office, and the court records. Miscellaneous records include; Civil
War, Estray, Bond, Disease, Physician's license and Retailer's license.

A Scott County Newspaper Collection has recently been added. The papers
date as early as 1880 to 2007.
