The Lost Sheep

Luke 15

One day, some men at the temple said, “Why does Jesus spend time with
people who do not know God?”  To help them understand,  Jesus  told this story.
Once there was a shepherd who had one hundred sheep.  Each evening, as he
led them back to the pen, he counted them.  One evening he counted only
ninety-nine sheep.  The shepherd looked everywhere.  Finally, he found the
sheep.  The shepherd shouted with joy, “My sheep was lost, but I found him.” 
Then Jesus said, “God loves all his children like a shepherd loves all his sheep.”
