Daniel in the Lions’ Den

Daniel 6

Daniel was a wise ruler for King Darius.  The other rulers were jealous of Daniel and wanted to get rid of him.  They tricked the king into passing a law that said nobody could pray to anyone other than King Darius.  Whosoever disobeyed the
law would be thrown into a den of lions.  Daniel heard about the law.  But he remained loyal to God and he prayed to him anyway.  The other rulers caught Daniel praying and they told the king.  So Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den. Because Daniel was loyal, God sent an angel to close the mouths of the lions.
