~Cinderella~

In 1697,Charles Perrault published a collection of fairy tales in the book called "Histoires ou Contes du Temps Passé, Avec des Moralités: Contes de ma Mère l'Oye", which means "Stories & Tales of Past Times, with Morals: Tales of Mother Goose". Translated to english in 1729 by Robert Samber as "Tales of Mother Goose".Among these fairy tales is "Cendrillon, ou la petite pantoufle de verre" translated "Cinderella, or the little glass slipper". The oldest known version of the Cinderella story dates back to the 9th century from China. Perrault's contributions to the tale include the "fairy godmother" and the slipper being glass.

The young woman often sits among the ashes beside the fireplace, hence the name she is called "Cinderella".

With the help of the Fairy Godmother,Cinderella's pumpkin is magically transformed into a beautiful coach.
