The Common Entrance Test 2008 was conducted on Saturday by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) at 218 examination centres across the State, with no incident of malpractice or impersonation being reported.
Incidentally, CET 2008 was the first entrance test to be conducted by KEA as an independent authority. Of the 1.14 lakh students who applied for the test, about 97 per cent took the combined paper of Physics and Chemistry. Candidates and parents can file their objections, if any, addressed to the ‘Executive Director’, KEA, Sampige Road, 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore 560 012 on or before April 30, either in person or through speed post only with all supporting documents and justifications.
The objections received by the KEA will be placed before an expert committee, whose decision will be final for determination of the right key answers. Objections received after April 30 will not be considered.
The Kannada Language test will be held on Sunday (April 20) - at 11:00 am for Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates and 1:00 pm for Horanadu Kannadiga candidates - at the KEA premises, Sampige Road, Malleswaram 18th Cross. If any Horanadu or Gadinadu Kannadiga candidate is unable to write the test for any reason, he or she should compulsorily attend the Kannada Language test on April 30 at the KEA premises.
Candidates interested in taking up Architecture course have to appear for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) on or before April 23 and submit to the KEA a copy of the NATA Score Card on or before April 26 by mentioning their CET Number on the NATA Score Card.
