Full name is Michelangelo Buonarroti, he lived from 1475-1564.
Was known to be rude, difficult, and short tempered.
He had no pupils, but more than enough fame - enough to make Leonardo DaVinci jealous
Most famous work is in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican
The painting below, depicting judgement day was the target of much critizism before it's unveiling. Draperies were added a decade later by another artist to cover the nude figures, who were considered shameful.
