Miami Beach is a coastal town and is located to the east of Mainland Miami. The connecting road I-195 extends from just around downtown Miami and crosses the bay and reaches out to the eastern sea front, to meet Rte 1-A1 which runs parallel to the ocean and extends all the way up to daytona beach.

This panaromic view overlooks the Northern side of Miami Beach. There is so much construction going around this area that soon it would become a high rise beach corridor. A Life-guard's post stands firm overlooking the expansive area.


We reached Miami Beach @ 1100 hrs and were immediately greeted by gorgeous weather: 72 deg, light wind and plenty of sunshine and blue skies. After a small walk, we stretched ourselves on the white sand.


Amol got into the act too! Here is another view of us all relaxing on the sands of Miami Beach.
The parachute seen in the picture was been used as a sail by one of the surfers. It was quite exciting to watch him sail over the waves. The concept could be termed as : Parasurfing.



While we were enjoying the beach atmosphere, this seagull was busy watching us. He might be thinking " What is the big deal with these humans? Why are they so excited.....?".
