A Final Escape Tutorial on Paint Shop Pro
What you need to know before you start: PSP is better suited for advanced graphic artists, not beginners.
This is more difficult to learn. When you save a file and want to convert it to a GIF image,
always open it then save as a GIF file. In order to maximize the use of your gif in Excite Chat,
you need to set it to 102X116.
1. First Download the av into a file where you can find it.
2. File Menu>New
3. Set that to 102 x 116.
4. Open your avatar, then change the size as close to 102X116 as possible.
5. Paste it into your opened 102X116 newfile by Crtl-A and right click the new file and selecting Paste as layer. Always paste as layer.
6. Open the windows, make sure the following is checked.
7. Then adjust to your preference, the color in the color palette, the effects in the effects Menu,
and the layer options in the layer window.For help on windows, look below.
8. Then just save it into the folder where you place ur avs....as A GIF IMAGE. GOOD LUCK!
An intro to those "miniwindows"
1. The tool window: where you make the image.
2. The layer window: where you adjust and render.
-------Layer Effects: to change the view of the layer.
3. The color window: where you change the color of the image.
4. The option bar: Look here for even more specific changes while using the tool window.
5. Adjusting the image in the filter menu: use this to change the effects on the picture.
