I love the Powerpuff girls. Love them to itty bitty tiny little pieces.

But oh, was I disappointed in the movie. I mean, it’s pretty good, and there are a few sequences (like the one where they fly to a faraway asteroid because they think everyone on Earth hates them and would be better off without them) that look fantastic, but, well, for one thing, I don’t see any reason why this story was a movie rather than just a full episode length story (like the Rowdyruff Boys story that lasted a whole half hour); at less than an hour and a half it seemed like a lot of its length was filler, and it took very little advantage of the medium of the theatrical release.

And I didn’t laugh out loud once. Not even once. I laugh uncontrollably when I watch the show, but this was just...tame. Old. Stale. Well made, but stale. Too bad.
