International Wrestling Syndicate: Un F'n Sanctioned 2003 Montreal, Quebec, Canada September, 20, 2003 Matches Dru Onyx vs. Sexxxy Eddy - A fairly typical match featuring Dru Onyx in the role of the generic big man, and Sexxxy Eddy in the role of the plucky underdog. The match isn't bad, it's just that it's so average you've probably seen this match fifty times by now. SLI vs. Flying Hurricanes vs. Los Latinos vs. Revolution - A good four-way tag match. A quick pace plus a few really cool spots makes for a very entertaining match. Kevin Steen vs. Excess 69 - A very good match between two young, talented wrestlers. The only downside to the match is the lack of experience from both sides. Pierre Carl Oulette/Beef Wellington vs. Kid Kamikaze/Kurt Lauderdale - This is an excellent match. Beef Wellington steps out of his comedic role for this one and teams with PCO, who proves that he still has several years left in him. Kid Kamikaze and Kurt Lauderdale team well with each other. El Generico vs. The Arsenal - This is a fantastic match with a great combination of wrestling and violence. The finish of the match will leave you speechless. Fans Bring The Weapons Match - The Hardcore Ninjaz vs. Green Phantom/PcP Crazy Manny - If you hate light tubes, then do not watch this match. The fans go insane with the most creative and entertaining weapons you will ever see. While no real wrestling skill is displayed in this match, it is an incredibly entertaining twentyish minute match. Announcing Peter LaSalle and Brian The Guppie team up to call this event. Both men are solid announcers and they work well together. They really add to the matches with their commentary. Production Everything about the production screams bland. The DVD case, the DVD itself and the menus are fairly boring. Also, some of the camera work and editing are a little shoddy at certain parts. Bonus Features None that I could find. Final Rating
Matches: 30/40 Final Rating: 60% Despite the seemingly low mark, I would still reccomend this DVD. As the DVD came out in 2003, DVD technology isn't what it is today, so I am able to overlook some of the downfalls. Like my first review, fans of violence will love this DVD, while those who don't like it should avoid the final three matches. |
