Pennsylvania Wrestling Federation Live Report

6/20/01 / Pennsylvania Wrestling Federation / Pottstown, PA / Academy Hall

- I lost my notebook so all notes will go from the top of my head, sorry all.

- Bryan XL d. ZBarr. ZBarr wrestled a fairly decent match, bryan dominated and lit up the crowd with spectacular high flying action.

- Danny Rose & Adam Flash d. Oxx Hogg & James Proper. Rose & Flash a very strong tag team, Rose likes to pose & interact for the crowd. Hogg looks likes Chris Candido, and the fans chanted "you ain't xpac" to Proper because of his green pants.

- Tony Balboa d. Maverick. Smoke break match. My friend Chauncey has this to say. Very slow paced match. Match should've been "wrestler drops the bad gimmick" match. Tony Balboa rip off of Rocky, Maverick rip off of, well, Maverick.

- Mad Dog of Damned d. Trent Acid of Backseat Boyz & Johnny Kashmire of Backseat Boys d. Draven of Damned. Draven solid big man, very strong & flawless with style, while Mad Dog and Acid was just confusing to watch in the ring. My man Trent Acid finally did the J.O.B. to someone, while Kashmire it appears is continously getting a larger push on the indies for his hard work. After the match the announcer repeated himself 6 times on what the match will be next time they wrestle in the PWF.

- Guillotine LeGrande d. Slambo The Clown with a pie to the face. Smoke break for myself and half the arena for this match. A kid's match really.

- PWF Tag team champions The SAT (Jose & Joel Maximo) d. Gino Giavanni & JD Powers w/Fun Athletic Guy. SAT usual high spots, fast paced action that Gino & JD at times had trouble keeping up with, but a good match.

- PWF Junior heavyweight champion Red d. Nicky Benz & Billy Bax. Benz came out and did his usual singing and dancing routine which got ok heel heat, Red interefed in his song and the match is on! Red in complete domination, Benz missing a few spot, and Bax did his best to hang on.

- NWA World champion Steve Corino d. Minori Fujita. Excellent match! One of the best technical matches I have seen on an indy card in months. Corino played the face that never quit. Lots of hold and submissions, including a 5 minute armbar submission. Fujita trained by Tajiri in the Big Japan Dojo, fastly becoming a favorite in my book.

- Rapid Fire Maldanado w/Allison Danger beat Jack Victory w/Lou E. Dangerously in a Xtreme Bullrope Match. Very insane match. Lots of chairs, tables & canes used. Jack Victory threw up at one point after repeatedly being hit with a cane to the back. I believe he took something like 31 shots to the back, face & chest. I was amazed he continued the match for another 10 minutes. I had to let J.V. know also at one point he ws Tazz's bitch in ECW, which got him real pissed at me. Rapid Fire is one of the best on the east coast I believe. Excellent Match!

- PWF Heavyweight champion Dylan Night w/Candi beat The Sandman 2 falls to none to defend the title. Sandman extremely drunk. saw him drink 2 cases throughout the course of the day and night. Gave almost every fan a chug, no matter what the age. Took the mic, insulted Dylan & his manager who is deadly hott! Splurred his speech and basically put himself over, very funny! Dylan took Sandman 2 straight falls. Ultimate push for Dylan who I heard is only 19. Excellent Match.

Thoughts: A very good card. SAT squad put on usual good matches, as did ZBarr, Flash & Kashmire. Last 3 matches on the card nothing less than excellent. DocHud waiting the Dylan Knight/Rapid Fire Maldonado confrontation battles. They both trained together in the Cruel School and I believe can and will put on 5 star matches when the oppurtunity arises, which I believe will be soon. Till Next Time!
