"The songs on this CD were recorded during the summer of 1980 after returning to New Jersey from Okinawa. It features the members of Minas Tirith and Marty's dad, Ken Mele. The songs were recorded at Brian Patterson's, Frank Patterson's, Marty Mele's, and Tony Miceli's houses." Dave Lieber plucked the classical guitar on Blackbird, Blood on the Rooftops, Entagled, Here Comes the Sun, and Scarborough Fair. Ken Mele whistled the melody on Blackbird. Marty Mele thumped the bass on He is, How High the Moon, I Need You, Love the One You're With, Tin Man, and You Never Give Me Your Money - Golden Slumbers. He strummed the acoustic guitar on Love the One You're With and made bird noises on Blackbird. Tony Miceli hammered the vibes on How High the Moon, Scarborough Fair, and You Never Give Me Your Money - Golden Slumbers. John Spreier performed the remainder of the acoustic guitar & bass tracks, whistled the harmony on Blackbird, and is responsible for all of the mandolin, slide guitar, stratocaster, and vocals. All the performances were recorded and produced by John using an Akai 270DSS. The recordings were digitally enhanced using Adobe Audition version 1.0.
