Jennifer Tefft... Another great talent out of Boston! The Players: Tracks: Jennifer Tefft Painless John Parrillo My Own Jeff St. Pierre Control Freak Phil Antoniades Queen Unnerved The Only If I Want It Fly Away Wrecking Ball Apology Beyond This |
tellar and smooth performance throughout this entire album by Jennifer Tefft. Jennifer captures a jazz/blues-like quality within the music while also staying true to her rock-n-roll roots. At times shift bares a vulnerable soul within the lyrics, then comes back at you with a firestorm of hard hitting rythms. "Shift" is a definite piece of musicianship and power. It's definitely not surprising that this is such a fine piece of work because Jennifer Tefft is a highly lauded indie artist in the Boston area. Sharing the stage with notables such as Aerosmith and Missing Persons has given her the confidance and poise that shows throughout her entire album. My "definers" on the album would have to be, "Queen"- a classy and bold statement, "Apology" and "Fly Away"-really grabs the listener. Shift is a very smart and comprehensive album, which in my view, will be a defining moment for Jennifer Tefft and her career in the music industry. Much praise for this up and coming Boston artist!
