A Grass Roots Entertainment Review:

Marina V.

"Lift"

A Grass Roots Entertainment favorite artist has done it again!

Marina has gathered heartfelt sounds and well thought lyrics in her sophomore effort, "Lift". This album is bound to be a catalyst in this Russian-born artist's repertoire, demonstrating her growth since her debut, "Let Me Dream" a year ago.

Cutting her teeth and working extremely hard on the difficult indie circuit, Marina has developed a sound that carries you from hard driven tracks such as, "Anything At All", and then back to her haunting melodies found in her debut album. The album gave a hint of what Marina is capable of in future projects, hopefully through a big label's funding! Thoughtful and provocative lyrics in tracks such as, "Father", "One To Blame" and "I See The Snow" culminates into a complete and introspective album. I was overjoyed to see Marina venture out into the boundries of alt. rock, laying down some real edgy tunes with an array of sounds.

The thing that interested me most in "Lift" was to hear Marina grow in the album. Since her debut album, "Let Me Dream", the touring and playing has developed and created influences which solidified the effort within the studio. This is evident throughout the entire album and provides for a unreal listening experiences. Her band also performs tightly and consistently.

Marina is always touring and demonstrating a hard work ethic in producing the indie world a great talent and fresh sound. To get your copy of "Lift" or check out what Marina's up to next, go to:
