Info
Adam Yee started his musical career in the band Headache. According to him they were a crappy grunge kinda band and not worth hearing. Though, I'm sure many would disagree. Headache were Jeff O'Connell on guitar, vocals; Adam on bass; and Jaimme Rogers on drums. At the end of 1991, they released the single 'Stuart's Up'/'Love Without a God'. Marty O'Connell soon replaced Rogers on drums, and Nick Tkalac joined on guitar in 1992. In October 1992 the CD EP 'Uma' was released and in 1993 Adam was replaced by Gareth Lindsay.
Adam joined the already formed Smudge in 1993, replacing Paul Duncan on bass. Smudge of course being, Tom Morgan on guitar and vocals; Adam on bass; and Alison Galloway on drums. With Smudge, Adam recorded the album 'Manilow' and the mini album 'Hot Smoke and Sassafras' in 1994. More singles and EPs followed as well as two more albums, 'You, Me, Carpark...Now' in October 1996 and 'Real McCoy, Wrong Sinatra' in 1999. It is rumoured that the "last Smudge show for a while" concert will be released on CD, which, if you have never heard smudge before, this would be a great introduction.
Adam's new band is Tofu Cock. They are Adam, Tom Morgan and Simon Gibson on the drums. Nothing much has happened with this new band yet, but i'm sure Adam will impress us once again in the not too distant future.
