This CD is a collection of live performances recorded from 1989 through 1991 at Potter's in Greenville, R.I. and Gillary's in Bristol, R.I. John Spreier produced and recorded the album using a line level direct from the mixing consule. Newbird was: David Chandler on keyboards & vocals, Kenny Johnson on drums, John Spreier on bass & vocals, and Fred Wilkes on guitar & vocals. Fred sang the lead vocals on all of the songs except Mister Charlie, Stella Blue, and The Music Never Stopped which were sung by David. Beat It On Down the Line was written by Jesse Fuller. Double Trouble was written by Otis Rush. Eyes of the World was written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. Generation Rumble was written by Dave Edmonds. I Hear You Knocking was written by Smiley Lewis. I Second That Emotion was written by Smokey Robinson and Al Cleveland. Mister Charlie was written by Ron McNernan and Robert Hunter. My Sisters And Brothers was written by Charles Johnson. One After 909 was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Stella Blue was written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. That's What Love Will Do For You was written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. The Music Never Stopped was written by Robert Weir and John Barlow. U.S. Blues was written by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. When I Paint My Masterpiece was written by Bob Dylan.
