A Global Threat What the F*** Will Change? Punk Core info@punkcore.com Tearing screams high in treble spitting out the lyrics we might expect, warning of the dangers of hypocrisy, violence, and conformity. The lead vocals recall those of Operation Ivy's Jesse Michaels, though A Global Threat's street-punk features less focused lyrics while abstaining from all but the least bit of ska influence ("All We Really Own") This album is well-done, both raw and unforgiving. We are going to expect imperfection from just about any street-punk band, but this record hits us hard with sharp verses and tight responding backup vocals that come together with a sound whose power can't be denied. The cd booklet is really nice, too. With most of the lyrics, the story behind the band and the album, and vivid full-color glossiness that really brings out their varying 'hawks all included :) Seriously, it's a nice booklet. If you're in the market for street-punk with especially raspy vocals, A Global Threat would probably be a good band to check out. The best cuts here are probably "Stop The Violence", "Live For Now", "Religious Scam", and "What's Left Now".
