Angie Tysseland -- Artistic Director
Saskatoon music director and recording artist Angie Tysseland received her Bachelor of Music (with great distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. She studied as a classical pianist in the 80's, primarily with Robin Harrison in Saskatoon and Hiroki Ohki in Siena, Italy. In the 90's she branched out into jazz, folk music, and songwriting which has led to her current livelihood as a full-time church musical director, professional musician, and composer. She has been heard often on CBC Radio, has four CDs, two musicals and a choral cantata in her portfolio and is currently producing a worldbeat opera, The Rev, which she wrote based on the Book of Revelations. She is the founding director of the Refiners and St. James' Neighborhood Arts and Spirit Centre ("The Refinery") and conducts workshops on chanting and a voice approach called "Sing for your Life".
