No doubt you, like me, have felt "trapped" by this mortal coil.
Why are we here, trapped in these inefficient bodies?
It's hard to tell whether time moves too slow, or too fast. Often, I wonder why it seems that time has its own... er... agenda.
Way back when, you know, before, (For those of you asking BEFORE WHAT? - Just... before) there was no time. We had to invent it. How else could we fully experienc our flesh? The mere act of BEING HUMAN requires that we be INSIDE of, and play by the "rules" of TIME.
If it's any consolation, just remember that you will, eventually, be "outside" of time again. When you think about how infintessimal an ammount of time a human life really IS (compared to eternity), it's really not all that long to wait. In fact, why not ENJOY the TIME while you have it, while it exists. Once you are THERE (in the universe, cosoms, collective consciousness - whatever you prefer to call it) there is no time.
It's a "the grass is always greener..." type of thing. Or, in the words of Joni Mitchell, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone".
The day I had that realization, was the day I truly began to APPRECIATE my earthly existance.
Unlike the vast majority of our ancestors, we have a great deal of leisure time. So next time you're waiting that (seemingly UNENDING) six minutes for your microwave entree to be done, stop and take a minute (or six) to be grateful that we even have such things as minutes, and that there is such an abundance of them that they can be wasted, or that you have to WAIT for them to pass.
Take time to stop and smell the roses.
On second thought, hell, just TAKE TIME...
