Takeo – Yay, the sequel to Found!
Jet – Warnings, angst, lime. My life is a hell hole.
Takeo – Don’t say that sweetie, I’ll always love ya! *Jet sighs*
Jet – That’s the problem.~ Rain ~
Jet awoke from his sleep as a figure stood at the doorway to his room, a lit cigarette held in slim fingers.
“Spike, Faye? Whichever one of you it is, shut my blasted door. I’m not fixing any more pipes till tomorrow morning.” Jet grumbled as he threw his alarm clock at the intruder. An arm caught the thrown object in a flash and the door slammed shut, the person still in the room, extinguishing the cigarette underfoot. Jet’s blue eyes snapped open as the figure sat at his bedside, tossing the clock up and down.
“You can be so cruel you know, especially in my time of need.” The voice spoke. Jet sighed, placing it as Spike’s.
“I thought I had outlived my usefulness.” Jet replied as he sat up in his bed, placing his metal arm against his warm forehead, the kiss of metal on flesh soothing. Spike faced Jet, his exposed chest gleaming in the moonlight of Earth’s moon. They had touched down on Earth not too long ago and Faye and Ed had taken off to goodness knew where, leaving Jet, Spike and Ein on the ship.
“I thought there wouldn’t be any strings attached Jet. After that night (1)...that was what we agreed.” Spike said as he sat next to Jet, keeping his eyes trained on the Bebop’s owner. Jet got out of bed and switched on the lights.
“I hate conversations in the dark. People tend to forget things once the daylight breaks.” Jet said as he ran a hand through his dark blue beard, his thoughts of that night clear and tinged with a bitter brew.
“You don’t want me anymore?” Spike asked as he rose from the bed, walking over to Jet, his mop of green hair and mismatched eyes holding Jet’s attention as the smaller bounty hunter wrapped his arms around Jet. Jet bit his lip. He hated this. This always happened. Spike would come on, hot from some showdown with a bounty and they would wind up in his bed, Jet a willing participant in any of his misdeeds. He admitted that he enjoyed it…the intimate contact with Spike, but he knew that he loved Spike and he knew that he was hurting himself by letting Spike do this to him.
“I want you Spike, you know that. But I care about what’s in here too.” Jet said as he placed his hand on Spike’s chest, were his heart lay. Spike’s eyes grew distant.
“No, this was precisely want I wanted to avoid. All I wanted was a fuck Jet, and you knew it. That should have implied no emotional ties.” Spike said as he folded his arms over his chest.
“I know Spike, and I regret not telling you. You wouldn’t have listening if I said-“Jet spoke, Spike interrupting his voice.
“Shut up. Just shut up!” Spike said, his eyes a fiery red. Jet looked taken aback.
“I…but…gods Spike, why won’t you let me near you? Or at least hear me out. I know you love this Julia woman, so why won’t you let me say that I love you?” Jet said almost painfully. Spike raged and slapped Jet, hard across his cheek. Jet’s blue eyes focused on Spike, his cheek growing steadily red.
“You always have to mess things up don’t you Jet? Why can’t you be satisfied?” Spike said as he breathed harshly, his lithe frame shaking as if in shivers. Jet stood, confused by Spike’s actions, but heartbroken.
“I’m not sorry that I said what I felt Spike. I just want to stop you from hurting yourself. Ever since you came on the Bebop, you’ve been careless about your life. You didn’t care if you lived or died. But I care damn it, and I still do! And if you can’t see that.. I…I” Jet said, fighting the tears that were welling in his eyes. Spike seized Jet’s lips in a heated kiss, crushing his body against Jet’s strong frame. Jet responded, holding on for dear life, his tears flowing down his cheeks.
“Don’t make it harder than it already is Jet. Please.” Spike asked as he pulled away slowly from Jet. Kissing Jet’s abused cheek, Spike guided him to his bed. Jet settled underneath the covers with Spike sleeping beside him, wrapped in his arms.
“Spike.” Jet whispered as Spike kissed him again, his red and brown eyes replaying some long lost memory.
“Just stay with me for tonight Jet. It’s all I need, if you do love me.” Spike whispered in reply, his green head resting on Jet’s chest as he shut his eyes in a weary battle. Jet nodded and held his lover close. At least I told you…and I was right…you can’t love me, you never did.

Faye stood, shooting her gun into the air as Spike walked away to his death. It had only been a couple of days. Ed and Ein were gone, the syndicate was now controlled by Vicious and Julia was dead. Jet remembered the haunted look in Spike’s eyes as he told him. He knew Spike had no reason to live now, and now he was going to die, and nothing Jet could do or say could stop him. He knew that Spike was dead the instant a star was extinguished from space. The old Indian chief had said so. Jet sat on the Bebop, the ship still grounded from the attack by the syndicate.
“Those who enter the syndicate and try to leave always die.” Jet murmured as he stared at the broken up ship. Faye had left over an hour ago mourning in her own way. Jet remembered his old partner from his ISSP days. “Those were tales for another day, that was another lifetime.” Jet spoke to nothingness. His soul felt torn and lay bleeding. He loved Spike, more than anything in the world, and even his love for him couldn’t save him.
“Jet?” a voice asked in the darkness of the empty ship. Jet turned his head and saw Faye standing, her face tired from crying and from searching.
“You’re back?” Jet asked in surprise. Who would want to come back now?
“Yes. Nothing ever makes sense unless you’re involved. Why did Spike let himself die? He didn’t have to.” Faye said as she sat next to Jet, resting her head on her up drawn knees.
“He lost Julia, his only sense of being in the universe and he felt that without her, nothing else mattered. And without him…” Jet said as he gazed unto the red planet’s surface.
“Without him, will *you* lose your reason to live too?” Faye asked gently, placing a hand on Jet’s face. Jet’s blue eyes clouded for a moment and he turned away from her green eyed gaze.
“Julia was an angel to Spike. I was nothing but a pillow made from her fallen feathers.” Jet replied, his words making him feel even more hollow than before.
“I can’t believe that. Ed and I knew something was going on between the two of you. The looks, the whole issue with food. But there was nothing but love between the two of you Jet. You didn’t see it because Spike didn’t want you to see that he had fallen for you. Perhaps, *you* had become his new angel, but his ties to the past would never let him have you, so he chose to die with his demons so that you didn’t have to go through the hell of loving him. He loved you Jet, I think he always did,” And with that Faye rose to her feet and smiled sadly. “We should get going. Life must go on.’ She concluded as she helped Jet to his feet and the two of them faded into the darkness.

Takeo – Aiya *blots her eyes* Spike was stupid to get himself killed but I love him anyway, and now Jet is all lonely and sad! Ah well, thus ends Jet’s affair with Spike. Now if I can remember the name of his partner at the ISSP,(the guy who shot Jet in the arm) then that will be a wonderful detective series filled with yaoi and lemony goodness!
