This is Part Two. I doubt that this fic will have a happy ending. I mean, look at him, he's miserable! *sniffling * But angst seems to be a favorite of mine, let's work the magic.
INOCHI&GI: Friend or Foe
Touma sat up in his bed, his dreams shaking him from his blissful sleep. It wasn't a nightmare that had awoken him but a dream involving a very submissive Shuu, whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Needless to say, he awoke to relieve his body of the entertaining dream. Under his door shot rays of light, two shadows etched in it, stating that two people were up late conversing. Curiosity won over the bearer of Tenku and he crept quietly to his door and pressed his ear against the door. He placed the deeper voice as Shuu's. The other as Seiji's.
"Look, I'm sorry for threatening you Seiji, I tried of you hurting my friends." Shuu said, his head bent, deep in thought.
"No need Kongo. You have set us all on our destinies. You apparently haven't seen yours, even though I see it as clearly as the sun's rays cast on a new day." Seiji said as he leaned his back against the wall.
"Destiny? My destiny as I see it is to finish college and take up my family business." Shuu said, a little annoyed. Seiji smiled.
"Not the obvious one Shuu. We both come from traditional families in most respects, so you know what I'm talking about. Surely, your mother must have pressed the issue." Seiji said, amusement written in his voice. Shuu blushed in an apparent understanding.
"Marriage? I think I knocked a couple of brain cells lose Seiji." Shuu said, his embarrassment laced in his voice.
" Yes, and no. I'm sure that your mother knew about Shin. Did her reaction deal a crushing blow to your new koi?" Seiji asked. Shuu's eyes widened.
"Touma is not my lover. Why does everyone keep saying that?" Shuu asked exasperated.
"You can't hide the truth Kento. I saw it in your eyes when you came to my room this evening. Don't let what happened with Shin bog you down now. I loved Touma, but after what I've done, I have no claim. That's why Shin let you go. He couldn't continue hurting you. You called it a game ne? It was, and you lost it but gained something even more valuable. Sleep on it Shu, you'll see I'm right, now, I'm going to sleep. Goodnight." Seiji said as he placed a comforting hand on Shu's shoulder then left.
Touma glowed with excitement with this piece of news. Shu has feelings for me? What the hell I am going to do to end his apparent shyness? Touma hopped back to his bed as he heard Shu move towards his door.
Damn Seiji, always figures out the jumble in my head. Mama, you wouldn't mind if I married a guy, you'll probably say that I'm too young. You always know everything that happens to me. If I only had that frankness and courage to speak your mind, I wouldn't be in this mess…I can only act for actions speak louder. Isn't that what Kongo's all about? Kento ended his rant as he opened Touma's door and let himself in, watching Touma sleep. He bent over Touma's face; happy to find it relaxed.
"At least, sleep came at no expense to you." Kento said as he ran fingers over Touma's hair.
"It's about time you showed up." Touma said as blue eyes opened, catching cobalt eyes frozen and cheeks aflame.
"I, umm, that's is I…" Shu stammered, completely thrown off balance. Touma's gaze softened as he ran slender fingers down the caramel skin above him.
"Don't be afraid Shu-chan. We need each other and we both know it. The Earth and the Sky are intimate friends, lovers. The earth, always looking up to the sky for rain and sunshine. The sky looks to the Earth to provide its warmth and eternal devotion. I love you Shu-chan. We both were pawns in a game, but here we are now, free of control, free to love freely because we are a force to be reckoned with and no one shall stand in our way, let alone my way because I will show you just how much I love you."(1)
Touma breathed deeply. His words had gotten through to Shu who looked repentant, frightened, happy and at peace all at the same time.
"I love you too To-chan." He replied, the words simple, the vow in his cobalt eyes eternal in his devotion.
"Good, now let me show you." Touma said as he cupped Shu's chin under his fingers and kissed his love with all the strength he could muster. He pulled Shu closer, pushing him against the sheets on his bed and straddled Kongo's bearer in a possessive grip. As he bent his lips to meet the soft lips of Kento, Touma was ready to make this evening, this moment, one to last in their memories, the beginning of the rest of the lives, together.
