Early morning, she wakes up
Knock knock knock on the door~Duo muttered in his sleep as he stirred awake. Beside him, twin obsidian orbs flicker open.
"Morning Fei." Duo says as his violet orbs widen. He reached out and pulled WuFei closer; smiling as he captures those pouting lips with his.
"Good morning Du-chan. I trust that you slept well." WuFei replied with flushed cheeks. Ever since Duo had become a major movie star, WuFei hadn't had anytime alone with his koi. Duo smiles.
~It's time for makeup, perfect smile
It's you they're all waiting for~Duo woke up to the sound of knocks at his hotel door.
"Mr. Maxwell, we need you ready in an hour." A female voice chirps outside the door.
"Do I have to?" Duo asks groggily.
"Yes Duo. You're the star!" the woman says with some excitement in her voice and leaves. Duo snaps awake. His career meant the world to him. Performing had always been his dream. Don't have to worry about not making it anymore. Duo smiled as he spied a picture of WuFei smiling at his bedside.
~They go
"Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?"
And they say~Duo smiles as he waves to his millions of fans on TV. WuFei sits at home, watching, a sad look in his eyes. He fiddles with the golden cross on his neck and his grip tightens. Tomorrow's our anniversary Duo, will you remember?
Duo sits down in a chair as the host of the show that he's attending smiles.
"So, what have you to say about your career Duo? So many love you and your work." The host asks as he gestures to all the screaming fans, male and female alike.
"Acting has always been my dream and it's all I've always wanted to do since I was a kid." Duo said as his amethyst eyes lit up.
WuFei looked away from the screen. At least you're happy. That's important ne Duo?
~She's so lucky, she's a star~
Duo smiled as he flopped on his hotel bed two nights later. He had just signed at least a thousand autographs and his excitement had come down. He couldn't believe that so many people cared about him and obsessed over him.
"Duo, phone call." The woman's voice said. Duo nodded and picked up the phone.
"Hello, Duo Maxwell speaking." Duo said as he stepped onto the balcony of his hotel room. The view overlooked Tokyo's lights.
"Hi Duo. How's everything?" the voice asked. Duo turned a bit pale.
"WuFei! Oh damn, I forgot about yesterday. I'm so sorry Fei-chan." Duo gushed heatedly. He had forgotten he and WuFei's 1st anniversary was yesterday. It was the anniversary of their relationship since he had met WuFei at a park and had spent a heated night with him. Anytime that Duo passed through Tokyo since it was an important spot for his movies, they always got together. There was silence at the other end of the line.
"It's alright Duo." WuFei replied, his voice barely betraying the pain that he was feeling.
~But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart, thinking~
Duo babbled on about the recent events, WuFei paying attention.
"Duo, publicity shoot." The woman voice's said as she passed out side the door, blue hair tucked under a cap.
"I gotta go Wu. Hilde is screaming again." Duo said. Another pause at the end of the other line.
"Okay. Goodnight Duo." WuFei said softly.
"Night Wu." Duo replied.
" Wo ai ni." WuFei whispered. Duo was quiet for a moment.
"Okay Fei. Bye." Duo said as he dropped the phone.
WuFei signed. He couldn't continue living like this. He loved Duo, with his whole heart, and yet, Duo never responded. Face it, you've been used Chang. WuFei fingered the golden cross around his neck and salty tears splashed against his fingers.
~If there's nothing missing in my life
Then why do these tears come at night?~WuFei stopped his tears. He headed out of his apartment and went into a bar for a drink. He asked for something strong; a mix of vodka, gin and brandy. He sniffed at the concoction, wondering for the tenth time that day why he was here, about to get drunk.
"You really shouldn't drink that." A male voice said. WuFei looked up. Pale blue eyes stared back at him.
"You really shouldn't concern yourself with my well being." WuFei replied softly, his eyes threatening to well with tears. He drank down the concoction.
The stranger looked up and admired this boy's determination to stay in control.
"Would you like to dance?" the stranger asked.
"That wouldn't be wise. I'll be passed out pretty soon. I would embarrass you and I don't want to offend anyone." WuFei said. The stranger smiled.
"Never." He said as he guided WuFei unto the dance floor, keeping the boy close to him. WuFei felt his tears worked their way down his cheeks, no one had ever done something this nice for him...worry about him. The stranger looked at him.
"You never told me your name little one." The stranger said as he smiled softly.
"My name's WuFei Chang." WuFei said softly.
"Why are you sad?" the stranger asked.
"Duo, my boyfriend if I can call him that. He doesn't love me,and I love him. But,I've lost him to his other love, the one he values over me. I'm such a fool." WuFei whispered as he cried, the stranger holding him steady as his sadness erupted in a wave of pain.
"You sound like someone has hurt you." The stranger replied.
"I'm that stupid ne?" WuFei replied. The stranger laughed softly. Slender fingers tilted WuFei's head to his and lips met softly.
~Lost in an image, in a dream~
WuFei woke up and the first thing he noticed was a warm comfortable bed on which he had apparently slept on. Gods were am I? WuFei blushed as the event at the bar reached his memory. The handsome stranger, those pale blue eyes, the kiss... everything was a blank. WuFei shuddered. He hoped that he hadn't done anything that he would regret.
"You're awake WuFei." The stranger spoke as WuFei redirected his eyes to the door. Long platinum blond hair swept around the stranger's body.
"You, never told me your name." WuFei asked.
"My name's Milirado Peacecraft, but you can call me Zechs." Zechs said as he smiled gently. He sat beside WuFei and rested his hand on the Chinese boy's arm.
"What did I do?" WuFei asked with a small rattle in his throat.
"Nothing at all. I could not take advantage of you. You started crying when I kissed you, and you spoke of Duo." Zechs said. WuFei looked away.
"You are a good man. I'm sorry if anything I said upset you." WuFei said.
"Nonsense." Zechs said with a small smile that calmed WuFei.
~But there's no one there to wake her up~
WuFei smiled as he opened his apartment door later on in the day. Zechs had let him take a bath at his place and in return, he had invited him over for a meal to repay his kindness. Zechs smiled at the comfortable apartment. Paper screens and dragons adorned the walls.
"Make yourself comfortable." WuFei said with a shy smile as Zechs walked in. He couldn't understand why he was reacting almost violently to Zechs's presence. Zechs noted WuFei's silence and smiled.
"You cook?" Zechs asked lightly, trying to remove his eyes from WuFei.
"Yes. What do you want?" WuFei asked with a smile as he walked into his kitchen. Zechs silenced his imagination. There are a lot of things that I want WuFei, I'm not sure if you want it too...
~And the world is spinning, and she keeps on winning~
Duo smiled in satisfaction as WuFei surrendered under him with a small cry. It had been a month since WuFei had seen Duo. They were at one of Duo's hotel suites.
"Fei, gods?" Duo whispered as he pulled away from his koi. WuFei bit back angry tears. How long would he continue to deny that he could no longer live with what Duo was doing to him?
"Duo, do you love me?" WuFei asked once they had caught their breaths. Amethyst eyes stared into velvet. Duo was silent.
"I care about you Fei." Duo whispered as he kissed WuFei.
~But tell me what happens when it stops~
The phone rang and Duo picked it up, allowing himself to catch his breath.
"Hello. This is Maxwell." Duo said.
"It's Hilde. You've got a commercial to shot remember? And rehearsing your script for tonight's scene." Hilde said on the other end of the line.
"I'll be over in a minute." Duo replied and dropped the phone. Duo looked at WuFei apologetically.
"Duo, I can't see you anymore. Just say that you don't love me!" WuFei cried as he pushed away from Duo. He knew that Duo was leaving him without a second thought. He removed the cross from his neck and flung it at Duo.
"WuFei!" Duo shouted. WuFei burst into tears.
"Stop denying it Duo. I was such a fool to believe that you cared. You only care about your career. Just let me be." WuFei cried as he threw on his clothes and left, running blindly down the stairs.
~They go
"Isn't she lovely, this Hollywood girl?"
And they say~WuFei lay unmoving in his bed as soon as he arrived home. An hour later, there was a knock at his door. WuFei got up and washed his tear stained face. He opened the door. A smiling Zechs stood there.
"Hi Zechs. Come in. Is anything wrong?" WuFei asked. Zechs smiled softly at WuFei, the sloe eyed boy almost blushing as he shut the door behind him. He noticed that WuFei's eyes were red.
"Did you tell him?" Zechs asked softly as he sat WuFei down on the couch.
"Well, I asked him if he loved me and he said he cared. I thought that there was a chance, but his manager called him for a job and he said that he would be over in a minute. I knew he couldn't love me if he was going to brush me aside so easyily. I threw that chain of his at him and I left in tears. I made a fool of myself Zechs. I've been dirtied and now I'm useless." WuFei whispered.
"Never WuFei. Duo may not love you, but, I know that I do." Zechs whispered softly as his lips claimed WuFei's.

Then why do these tears come at night?~Duo gazed at the boy in his bed, the dark brown tousled locks against the white pillow. It was dark and his latest movie was out in theaters after two months of work. The gold chain dangled from Duo's neck. He was sated for the moment but he wanted another head on the pillow. Long black locks that were silky, smooth caramel skin that responded to his touch with indescribable passion. I miss you Fei, gods, I do...
~"Best actress, and the winner is...Lucky!"~
Duo smiled as he received an award for best actor in his movie 'Burning Rush'. He smiled. He accepted the award and began his speech. WuFei watched the TV as Duo spoke animatedly. He could hear squeals from the next apartment. Those girls where obsessed with Duo.
"WuFei, you're okay ne?" a voice whispered next to him. WuFei smiled as pale blue eyes settled on him.
"Of course Zec-chan. Why wouldn't I?" WuFei asked as he kissed Zechs. Zechs smiled. His little lover had recovered wonderfully with his help.
"He deserved to win, don't you think?" Zechs asked as WuFei snuggled closer to him.
"Yes. He's the best actor that I know of." WuFei said with a smile.
~"I'm Roger Johnson for Pop News standing outside the arena waiting for Lucky"
"Oh my god! here she comes!"~Duo swore a blue streak as he narrowly dodged the press. He smiled as he escaped his fans. He was grateful that they loved him and all, but he needed his privacy. Once again, Duo was in Tokyo. He recognized the park that he was in. WuFei lived near here. WuFei? Duo froze as he saw a tall man, maybe a few years older than him walking down the path that he was on. His arm was wrapped around a smaller boy who talked with him. The taller boy bent his head and captured the other boy's lips in his, platinum blonde hair fanning around them.
"WuFei..." the man whispered softly as he drew away from the boy.
"Zechs, can't you ever wait?" WuFei replied as he laughed softly.
"With you, anything is possible." Zechs replied as he wrapped his arms around his lover, a purr in his voice. Duo hurriedly got off the path and watched as WuFei and Zechs passed him.

Duo sank into a chair, tears burning his eyes. His heart hurt so much.I love you WuFei; it took me so long to realize. Who is this guy anyway? He can't mean so much to you? Duo gritted his teeth. He would find out?
~She is so lucky, but why does she cry?~
WuFei and Zechs arrived home and they went in. WuFei smiled as Zechs made tea for both of them. Outside, a storm was brewing.
"So, do you think we should play chess before bed or something?" Zechs asked as he poured the tea. WuFei smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind his ear.
"I'll let you decide." He replied, a sparkle in his eyes. His lover caught the look. A knock at the door interrupted the staring contest.
"It's close to midnight, who could it be?" WuFei mused as he opened the door. Zechs froze as Duo stood at the doorway; amethyst eyes fixed on WuFei.
"Duo, I haven't seen you in two or more months." WuFei said, finding his voice first. Duo smiled but looked at Zechs with a glare.
"WuFei... I, wanted to ask? I mean? That guy I saw you with... Are you guys..." Duo asked, at a loss of words. There were so many things that he wanted to know.
"I'm Zechs. WuFei's boyfriend if that's what you're asking Duo." Zechs replied as pale blue eyes hardened. Duo looked at WuFei.

Why do tears come at night?~"WuFei,please,I'm sorry. I love you." Duo whispered. WuFei froze.
"I'm sorry Duo. I, I can't love you. I don't. I can't. " WuFei replied. Duo showed no emotion and walked away, breaking into a run. WuFei bent his head. The hurt in those amethyst eyes...they were in so much pain.
"WuFei, it's alright to hurt. He finally realized how he felt but it was too late." Zechs whispered softly as he placed his arms around WuFei. WuFei smiled softly.
"Zechs, do you think that he'll be as happy as I am now?" WuFei asked.
"Just like you learned to let go, so should he. "Zechs replied as he kissed WuFei softly.

If there's nothing missing in my life~Duo smiled as several cameras went off as he exited the theater at the showing of a movie that he directed himself called ' Obsidian Fire'. The movie had been a big hit so far, the best ever. He smiled politely as he was driven to his hotel that overlooked the New York skyline. He smiled wistfully as he looked at the bright view. He could only think of WuFei. I was foolish to believe that I could take your love for granted Fei. But I'll always love you, no matter where I go or what I do. I love you.
~Then why do these tears come at night?~
