Chapter Seven : Battle Zero.

Altron loomed over the L2 colony as it made its way into space, its green eyes glowing considerably from the excitement that it felt. I must destroy all these colonies and raise the Sank Kingdom into the limelight. The colonies are the products of man’s achievement in space and now the Alliance wants to conquer it. I shall destroy the colonies, but not the people and rid the Alliance of the top officials who want to fight; and then, the Sank Kingdom shall bring a peacefully reign over this devastated planet, but I wonder, who will lead the Kingdom? Altron landed on the colony and secured many space shuttles. He then patched into the colonies news frequency.

"All people of the L2 colony. I do not wish to harm you for your deaths will not be justified. I have arranged several carriers around your colony and I wish for you to board them as quickly as possible. Take whatever prized possession that you own and please don’t look back." Justitia said as his face appeared on the public screen.

"That’s the angel I saw Mummy." The little girl cried in excitement as she hugged her teddy bear. Justitia shook his head.

"Go, now, or you will be caught in the crossfire." Justitia said as his face disappeared off the screen. The people of the colony under the officials were confused.

"To show you that I’m not joking." Justitia said. Altron’s staff cut a huge hole in the side of the colony, explosions reaching many ears. Screams and alarms went off and the people evacuated the colony. The seven pilots arrived to see Altron’s staff cut through the colony and explosions casting their light off Altron’s green eyes.

"You can’t kill all those innocent people!" Crudelis shouted as he ploughed Sandrock into Altron. Inside, WuFei flinched as he felt something hard ram into his gut.

"Stop…" he whispered as he slipped back into the recesses of his mind.

"You don’t understand," Justitia shouted." This mobile suit and I are one." He said as he pulled out his staff. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the shuttles departing from the colony in a swarm. Good. He turned on the colony and headed for it.

"I’ll stop you." Deceptus shouted as he blasted off in Epyon, using the whip to wrap around Altron’s leg. Justitia gritted his teeth. He knew that both Wing Zero and Epyon could overpower him. Epyon’s hands locked around Altron’s as he held the gundam back.

"Let go." Justitia said as he struggled.

"And let you destroy Shingami’s home. Never." Deceptus said as he tightened his grip.

"Suit yourself." Justitia said as he put his thrusters on and took Epyon down with him as they crashed into L2.

"Conscientia, the other colonies are panicking, what do we do?" Garrire asked as her screen was bombarded with messages from the other colonies.

"Crudelis?" Conscientia asked as they watched Epyon and Altron fighting on L2’s surface.

"Deceptus, Illusio and I will stay here and keep Justitia occupied. You guys should go to the colonies and offer protection. If you can, get the colonies to move as far way from L2 as possible." Crudelis said as worried turquoise eyes observed the battle. The women nodded and headed to the other three colonies. Both Epyon and Altron crashed into L2, the ground giving way beneath them. Altron was the first to rise and was up and darting quickly away from Epyon.

"Crudelis, something isn’t right in the way that Altron moves. It’s too human like, reflexes included." Deceptus said as he rose from the rubble and started looking around for Altron.

"L2, it’s moving!" Illusio shouted as several thrusters on the colony started up and started moving it in the direction of where the L5 colony used to be. WuFei stirred awake again. All around him was an odd light. He was in a purplish like bubble that shimmered when he touched it, pain racing through his hand. Someone else approached him. It was Justitia, in a bubble of his own.

"I need you to go back to sleep WuFei." Justitia said as twin velvet eyes peered into one another.

"What are you doing? Why do I hurt so much?" WuFei whispered as he noticed blood staining his shirt, his ankle hurting like a scorpion had slashed at him. Justitia frowned.

"I’m not sure, but I have to complete this mission." He said as he neared WuFei.

"Are you trying to destroy the colonies?" he asked weakly as a blow hit his head, forcing him to his knees. Justitia swore.

"I can’t let them kill me without completing my mission. Even if I have to kill them to do it." Justitia said as he turned his attention back to the battle. Altron was on its knees, a blow to its head from Epyon temporarily slowing its movements. A woman’s voice came on the PA system.

"Colony has now reached designated area; awaiting further programming." She said. Altron got up. Stabbing Epyon in its knee, it flew off towards the colony’s control system.

On Earth, Puritas-Pac had ordered for the Sank Kingdom to be evacuated. She shook her blond head as she called Silentum who was on his way with Shingami to space.

"Silentum-sama, I’ve evacuated the Sank Kingdom, we need all the buildings cleared out of the way and I don’t have the strength to do it." Puritas-Pac said.

"I’ll handle this. Destruction is my forte." Shingami said as he went ahead of Silentum. He put a message through to all the gundams.

"Okay everyone, here’s the news break. Justitia is going to destroy the colonies by shooting some kind of beam from where the L5 colony used to be. He will need to use the negative forces on L2, so he would have moved the L2 colony to where L5 was and gather all the energy. Coincidentally, L5 was directly above the Sank Kingdom in terms of alignment, so to make a long story short, the beam will be used against all of the Alliance bases and the bastards don’t want to evacuate their cities, so, we’ll have to stop the beam from firing." Shingami said.

"Shingami-sama, L2 is already in position and Altron, despite its damages is still moving." Deceptus said as he lashed out against the gundam. Silentum spoke up.

"We’re almost there. Everyone, but Shingami, Deceptus and I, go to the Sank Kingdom immediately. We can contain the explosion up here and the colonies won’t be harmed." Silentum said as Wing Zero headed to L2, Deathscythe Hell behind him. Deceptus was wondering just how much strength was left in Altron. WuFei cried out in pain as the whip, now in sword form jabbed into Altron’s side, and then hit the power core. Justita got up, bleeding and bruised, his wings stained with crimson ink.

"Self destruction Nataku. It is the only honorable thing for you to do." Justitia said as he hit the self-destruct button, the familiar wail filling the air. Justitia slid gently out of the seat and out of the mobile suit. He huddled into a tight ball as the gundam exploded, taking a good chunk of L2 with it. Deceptus flew out of the colony as a chain reaction began, black light filtering through every crevice of the colony. He saw Justitia glowing green, then it shifted into WuFei, the Chinese boy bleeding profusely as velvet eyes shut in pain. Deceptus saw this and WuFei grew wings again, shifting back to Justitia who got caught in the explosion.

"No!" Shingami screamed as L2 exploded, instead of fire and broken twisted metal scraps, the explosion was contained by an invisible barrier that he and Silentum had created, using the spell on the page that they had ripped out of the book. The explosion however, solidified into a shimmering blue beam and Justitia was in the center of it. He opened his eyes, green light streaming from them as the beam headed straight for the Sank Kingdom.

On Earth, the people of L2 were put on the New Edward’s base and all around the world; people watched as shimmering blue beam headed straight for the Earth, a green winged creature at the helm of it. In front of it, three mobile suits darted quickly to the Earth. They landed in a specific pattern in the Sank Kingdom. Each of the angels and daemons mobile suits occupied a position in different parts of the Sank Kingdom, creating a large circle.

"Should we stand in the center?" Confusus asked as they all watched the approaching beam, Justitia’s eyes closed.

"It might be wise to. We have to put up a barrier and hope that we our combined strength, as well as the suits, we can avert this disaster." Silentum said. Shingami bit his bottom lip as they sat in the circle, joining hands and contributing their power to Puritas-Pac who shot several arrows all around them, strands of light wrapping around them. Amethyst eyes looked ready to shed tears. Gods WuFei, please, please tell me that you’re alive somewhere, please. You’re all that matters to me, don’t leave me alone…

"Stop this!" WuFei screamed in his mind as his injuries gave him another shock, he felt like he was burning up. Justitia mainly gritted his teeth as he looked at WuFei, beautiful velvet eyes wet with emotion.

"I have to do this." Justitia said, WuFei’s tears affecting him in a way that he couldn’t comprehend.

"I don’t want to kill Duo, please, I love him, for the first time in my life, I love someone to the point of death." WuFei whispered as his blood began to form a pool around him. Justitia ran over to WuFei as the boy collapsed, severe lack of blood killing him painfully and slowly.

"Hang in there." Justitia whispered as the blue beam hit the Earth, shaking it violently, and in the center, five angels and six daemons looked in a circle, the fate of the Earth and the colonies in their hands…

The beam hit the Earth with a shuddering force, Justitia landing on his wings. It was plain to see that he had put up a shield and that had helped to cushion his fall. His wings were misshapen, blood staining the feathers. The gundams themselves had hummed with life as they emitted a light of their own, making a barrier to contain the light. The beam broke the barrier apart, the gundams nothing more than useless piles of gundamuim .The beam split up into several arrows. All around the world, members of the Alliance and the whole Romafellar Foundation who could be held responsible for the action against the colonies were pierced straight through their hearts and they were dead before they hit the floor.

And the military bases were all wiped out when several of the arrows combined to make a laser like beam. It was done in such a way that as the base exploded, the beam made a shield to protect the people from getting hit. The beam returned from all the places that it had distributed itself and then ran around the circular pattern that the gundams had created and it spread all over it like spilled oil. Daemons and angels opened their eyes and saw smoke rising in areas all around them. The beam centered on Justitia and then disappeared back into nothingness. Justitia shut his eyes, a true smile on his lips.

"You’ve just killed so many people!" Puritas-Pac cried as she got up. None of them knew exactly what had happened, or what the beam had done. Silentum pulled out his sword and held it to Justitia’s throat. Justitia looked up into maddened cobalt eyes. He summoned his weapon.

"Justitia, I will not fight. I won’t." WuFei cried out into darkness.

"We must, no matter how badly you feel. This will be a dishonorable death. It is better to die in battle than to be merely cut down while you’re down." Justitia replied. He wiped the blood that trailed down his lip. Using his staff, he raised himself to a standing position, clutching his bleeding side. Blood trickled from the mass of silky locks.

"It can’t be." Crudelis said as he watched the being stand.

"Justitia didn’t have any cuts at all, not until he got out of Altron. Oh no…" Garriere whispered.

"WuFei’s going to die from all this. We have to get Justitia out now!" Shingami screamed as he pulled out his own weapon.

"Let’s go Silentum. You do not believe that I acted justly?" Justitia said as he raised his weapon, preparing to fight.

"You’ve killed many people." Silentum said as cobalt eyes narrowed. It was so hard to concentrate when he knew that those beautiful velvet eyes held a lost boy.

"So have you all." Justitia replied, his voice kept carefully low.

"What are you?" Silentum asked.

"The child of Nataku’s suffering." Justitia replied.

"Nataku? But she’s dead." Illusio said.

"Yes, she is, but her will to end this madness so that one boy wouldn’t fight is why I am here. Let’s begin." Justitia said as he lunged at Silentum, staff at his side. Despite his serious injuries, he moved like a water slick dragon, carefully avoiding all blows and he landed a few of his own. His staff caught Silentum across his thigh and the silver cut in deep. Silentum gave a silent cry as his leg failed him. Shingami stepped in.

"WuFei, I know you’re in there, please, I don’t want to hurt you." Shingami said as he blocked off Justitia’s attacks, the winged child landing a cut across Shingami’s abdomen.

"I might not be able to kill you but that doesn’t mean I can’t injure you." Justitia said as he summoned up all his strength, flapping his wings gently and taking to the sky, the daemon after him, keeping his distance.

"Justitia, I, I can’t." WuFei whispered softly.

"I understand." Justitia said. He raised his weapon.

"You don’t have to." WuFei whispered.

"It is only right that you die in peace. You have fought and yet without fighting. I’m sorry it had to end this way." Justitia whispered softly.

"I’m sorry Duo, this is the only thing I can do for everyone to forgive me, even though I was only doing my duty. Wo ai ni." WuFei whispered as Justitia gave him a chance to talk.

"No WuFei!" Shingami screamed as the winged child drove his weapon through him, a peaceful smile on his lips. He looked at Shingami and smiled his sweet innocent smile. He felt himself falling to the ground and he landed with a sickening thud. Justitia and WuFei opened their eyes as they drifted apart.

"I’m so sorry. Forgive me." Justita whispered as he dissolved slowly, absorbing the pain that WuFei was feeling.

"It’s forgiven. I have no regrets; I found love." WuFei whispered as tears flowed freely from his eyes.

"Then, it may very well save you." Justitia said as he disappeared. Shingami let out a horrified cry as he landed on the ground. He pulled out the weapon from WuFei, amethyst eyes welled up at all the blood that was running from WuFei in a crimson stream.

"Why?" Shingami whispered as his heart beat violently in him.

"I had no other choice. I love you." WuFei whispered as he kissed Shingami’s hand, velvet eyes shutting for the last time. Shingami broke down into sobs, clutching at the bloodied body in his arms.

"No, not now, why?" he cried again. Silentum stood up and with the aid of Conscientia and Puritas-Pac since his wings were damaged, he dropped a hand on Shingami’s shoulder.

"I’m sorry." He whispered, seeing the eternal grief in those shimmering violet orbs.

"Silentum, there are reports that the leading members of the Alliance who started the hostile take over of the colonies are all dead as well as everyone in Romafellar." Conscientia said as she scanned her computer. Verrere sobbed softly into Legalis’s shoulder.

"Grandfather." She whispered. Legalis hugged her lover, trying to console her.

"And, all the major Alliance bases have been completely destroyed, and none of the people were hurt. Justitia did his job well." Conscientia added as she took off her glasses and sighed.

"I’m leaving." Shingami spoke as he stood up suddenly, wiping his tears, a new determination in his eyes. Verrere looked up and saw what Shingami was saying.

"We shall be happy back home, if we rebuild it. I guess that Nataku has found a way to send us back, never to return. By following you Shingami." she whispered.

"What are you talking about?" Confusus asked.

"Silentum, please, give me the page that we ripped out from the book." Shingami asked. Silentum handed it over.

"I’m going to be with my beloved. There is no way in heaven and hell that I shall be parted from him. Maybe we’ll be reborn again Silentum. I know that someday, WuFei will and I’ll be beside him when he opens those beautiful eyes of his." Shingami whispered. Crudelis stepped forward.

"We shall go with you Shin-sama, we will always be by your side." Crudelis said as he cast a wary smile at his loves.

"You’ll rebuild Etheria? That’s possible but how do you know that WuFei will be there? He’s a mortal." Conscientia asked.

"I’m sure that wherever Nataku is, she respects my wish, and WuFei’s peace and love. She’ll help me bring him to Etheria. Goodbye angelus." Shingami said as he lit the paper on fire and placed it on WuFei’s chest. The paper burned gold as well as WuFei’s body and they burned down to golden ash in a second and in the blink of an eye, it all vanished in a flash of gold.

"Illusio, do you think we can make it?" Shingami asked as the daemons shook hands with the angels.

"Yes. Mars and Jupiter are in proper alignment, let us go." Illusio said. The daemons drew a blue circle using powder over where an engravement of the solar system was. Illusio started chanting, all daemon wings touched, talon to talon. The ground around them glowed black and it shot into space. A bright flash of light blinded the angels for a minute and when they did open their eyes, the daemons were gone.

"What are we going to do now?" Puritas-Pac said as she made a sweeping gesture of all that was around now.

"Do what WuFei and Justitia would have wanted: make this place an environment worth living in, without the bloodshed, space included." Silentum said.

"Those daemons were really something." Garrire whispered in praise.

"They were." Silentum said as his cobalt eyes looked upon the now dark skies, glistening with stars.
